I even stated that the two situations were different... BUT I do think comparing You Know Who to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning is a tad bit ridiculous. They're clearly different cases and have responded to their opportunities in vastly different ways. Croyle has put up number similar to Brady and Peyton (after six starts) in terms of passing yards and completion percentage. Also, it looks vastly improved this year in Chan's offense. Webb has never been more than marginal at best, and has shown no great improvement this year over his past performances. To me, he's not even 2nd string material at all. Also, DJ... Webb was on the same team as Herm's son and they were roommates in college, and they're still best friends. Webb has clearly been given status by Herm neither he nor his talent deserve. This is the one blemish on Herm's time in KC I find unforgiveable. It smacks of paternalism at it's very worst. If the guy could actually PLAY I could forgive Herm this weakness... but Webb will never be even a dependable contributor at any level. He needs to go, and in spite of how much I like Sippio...
