I've never done fantasy football, but have been interested in it for a while now. As I said the last time xxxlp brought this up, count me in if we do that. I don't live around anyone who would be interested.

Flutie didn't have the body for an NFL QB either.

Chase Daniel AND Freeman both look good, but If our O struggles as much as we think (talking about higher up draft picks) than we should invest in a lineman, not a QB. That extra half second in the pocket turns ordinary, average QB's into Super Bowl contenders, see Dilfer, Trent on that one. If Brodie looks solid, but not great, and we have all these weapons, we need to buy him time, not tank his confidence.

Mark my words, we'll be talking about LB's and our D in general, come the draft, not our O. I think Brodie goes for 3.3k yards, 20 TD's/12 picks. LJ pops for 1300 or so, with ~8 TD's. Charles adds a hefty 400 or so on the ground, with a few breakaway TD's. I also think Bowe and Tony are both getting just around 1,000 apiece.

I wasn't here for the beginning of last year, so I don't know if this is even a thought, but what's up on an AA fantasy league? I have asked a couple times, but don't remember seeing anything. (I may just be blind, or might have been gone a few days and the replies got lost in the shuffle of things.) I'm itching for a fantasy roster to research, update, and dominate with. I think we could easily get 20-30 people (in at least 2-3 leagues) that would keep up with an AA fantasy league. Just make up our own league password, create a private league, and see how many AA fans show up. If that leage fills up, bam, another one can be put up easily. Or, we could have an AA signup, and see how many volunteers we can get to fill in the leagues. Last year I had a few teams up, but people who didn't draft/update/or care for their teams were littered throughout my leagues. It pissed me off, so I'm raring to go. Lol. I'm also a bit hyper, so sorry if I rambled a bit. Cream soda and Mountain Dew do that to me.

I dont think we can trust a madhatter to give us a totally unbiased evaluation of a QB from Mizzou... :P

Particularly Chase Daniel. Chase is taller than a lot of guys who've made it big in the NFL. I suspect underestimating his pro potential is as big a mistake as underestimating him has been in the past.

Chase Daniel is listed at 6'0. The same height as Drew Brees.

I love Josh Freeman, obviously. I think he's one of these guys who might end up being even better in the pros. Still, he has two years left. He reminds me a lot of D-McNabb.

I don't think Daniel is a good pro prospect. I've met him. He looks like a 5'10" fullback--not like a QB at all. He has everything upstairs, just not the body to be an NFL QB.

I agree with SBC. If we have to take QB in the draft and we have a choice on who we take then I'd have to go with a guy like Matt Stafford at this point. Local product Josh Freeman would be my second choice. I see both as high-level, NFL caliber QBs in my opinion. It will be interesting to watch how each of them fares this season.

As far as Simms goes, yeah, makes a lot of sense to me as the #2.

I'm not saying he can't run, but his running STYLE will not cut it in the NFL. Michael Vick, Vince Young, and company are successful because they can run elusively.

Tewbow has an element of elusiveness against college opponents, but he won't against pro football players. And trying to power through defenders will justend his career early.

I am also impressed with him as a passer, but I'm not so sure it isn't his stud receivers and the threat of him running that don't make that part look good. I guess we'll see.
