David Cook may have gone Hollywood, but he didn’t forget his roots. Give him one hell of an ovation when he sings the National anthem at the Chiefs‘ home opener, because he’s a real fan. You wear those colors no matter where you go, no matter what our record is. I got so annoyed last year when I was wearing my Chiefs jacket at Lids in the mall (this was in Springfield) around Christmas time, and some dumb soccer mom told her son that he didn’t want a Chiefs beanie because they weren’t any good. Big props to Cook for keeping it real–you’ve earned your arrowhead!

nice V-neck, is this guy the icon of Kansas city, i mean there’s gotta be someone else famous from Kansas city other than a guy who sports a v-neck and a fo-hawk, he must be from south Johnson county.

Ha! seriously though, he grew up in Blue Springs
Fans in Springfield are some of the most fair-weather fans around. Don’t get me wrong. Some of us still live and breath our Chiefs, but when the Rams were winning (freakin Paper Champs) everyone had their gear on. Now all of a sudden they suck again and you can’t give that Rams crap away.
I totally agree, BTF! Growing up Springfield made me hate the Rams. I also hate Cardinals-Chiefs fans–pick a city!
Last time I checked, V-necks were in, Chiefs Mafia. Or did you not RTFM? I mean, how insecure are you that you have to rip on this guy in two different posts?
He’s just trying to promote his little myspace site. Nice try. I’m not giving you a hit and I doubt you’re gathering much of a fan base around here.
Good point on the fairweather fans. It’s not just like that in Springfield. I live in J-Town (Jeff City) and it seems like all the Rams fans here are like that too. When the team starts to tank they quit watching games and hide all the Lambs clothes.
Chiefs fans are Chiefs fans here. Some may have drifted away from the team a bit and don’t follow them too closely any more, but they wear the colors year-round.
Being from Blue Springs, as well as going to his high school (attended senior year as he was winning American Idol), I’m pretty worn out on this d-bag. I’ll take Paul Rudd as the best famous Chiefs fan anyday, thanks.
