A.A.D.Q.: Your Ultimate Arrowhead Tailgate Mix CD
I think a lot of us are into music, and make mix CDs. That being said, I want everyone to think about making their own personal Ultimate Arrowhead Tailgate Mix CD to jam out to in the parking lot before games. Make it realistic, like 15-20 songs, unless you want to go for the more epic double disc, then you can do twice as many. I’ll drop mine soon along with the others in an Addict Angles post. Thanks to Double D for helping me come up with the concept…
What is your Ultimate Arrowhead Tailgate Mix CD?

1. ‘Sawdust In the Blood’ – Rob Zombie (great first track for this CD)
2. ‘Shake Ya Tailfeather’ – Nelly (because it samples the war chant)
3. ‘Dipset’ – Lil Wayne (because he references Dante Hall in the song)
4. ‘I’m a Playa’ – Tech N9ne (good song, local artist)
5. ‘Night and Day’ Tech N9ne (”)
6. ‘Pound That Beer’ – Mac Lethal (again, local artist, good song)
7. ‘Jesus Or a Gun’ – Fuel (this song is just really badass and I don’t really have enough rock on here)
8. ‘Click Click Boom’ – Saliva (gets you pumped)
9. ‘Let’s Go’ – Lil Jon (same)
10. ‘It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere’ – Jimmy Buffet and Alan Jackson (this probably should have gone earlier but oh well)
That’s all for now. Might come back with more later but probably not.

August 4th, 2008 at 8:28 amAnd we’re off to a great start…
August 4th, 2008 at 10:59 amMy perfect mix wouldn’t have any songs but rather a whole bunch of clips from Mitch Holthus going nuts over Chiefs touchdowns the past few years….I could listen to those clips all day long, especially the Dante Hall returns.

August 4th, 2008 at 6:24 pmThanks for the props, SeanB. I noticed you had some Tech N9ne and Mac Lethal on there. Gotta have the locals in the mix (even if I’m not actually a KC local anymore). Another thing, i think the War Chant is a necessity for any list. When I go to games down in San Diego, I always blast that one in the parking lot, let them know what’s coming.
August 4th, 2008 at 6:59 pmYeah I love that Chiefs fans picked up the Chant. One of the coolest crowd traditions ever.
And I’m not in KC anymore either. Heart of Dixie for me, rootin for Brodie’s alma mater.

August 4th, 2008 at 10:03 pm“I’m Shipping up to Boston” is a great one, because we kick off the season in New England, which is close enough. Also, my favorite fighter, Anderson Silva, comes out to “Ain’t No Sunshine,” so that gets me pumpe2d for sure.
I haven’t decided if I am going to do one, two or three discs yet. I have just written down SO many songs.
This has been awesome so far!
August 4th, 2008 at 11:23 pmPlaying at Arrowhead with all that fan support has got to be worth 7 points on the board talk about intimidation. Its nothing like that at other parks. Nothing but red everywhere, people yelling KILL KILL WAR WAR!!! Thats why the tailgate music is so important.
August 5th, 2008 at 6:12 amCan’t believe no one brought up this one as my first song..

That is it for now as I am going to try and make a compilation track and look up some of that Mitch Holthus. SIRIUS is my absolute first song as the beginning takes me back and images of the CHIEFS coming out of the tunnel…MAKES my damn arm hair stand……
August 5th, 2008 at 3:36 pmI listen to “A New Game” before I take the fantasy football field every Sunday!
