The Show Continues…
Another Chiefs training camp update from Dwayne Bowe. From YardBarker:
Throughout my football career, I have learned that I have to take this opportunity that God has blessed me with and run with it. I am determined now more than ever to succeed and help my team push forward and win and always perform as one. I am excited about the season and about the future.
Those words should be music to all Chiefs fans ears. This guy may have some of the swagger that the NFL’s diva receivers have, but I think he’s staying humble. The Show is going to be the hottest ticket in town this fall. Even if Fatlock thinks it’s going to be boring. What does he know about? BBQ? Buffets? Bonjanglers? Screw him.

Second favorite Chief next to LJ? D-Bowe. I would say Gonzo, but let’s face it, we’re just spoiled with him by now. “The Show” and Croyle are going to make a nice duo … I can’t believe they are rooming together. Seems Alabama is getting so lessons in hip-hop. I love the personalities on this Chiefs team …
August 2nd, 2008 at 6:05 pmTony G is No. 1 for me, but after that my order is the same. You gotta love D-Bo.
August 2nd, 2008 at 6:06 pmGreat things to hear.
August 2nd, 2008 at 6:55 pmI’m a BIG Dennis Johnson fan – we have not yet seen the best of this guy… but now with Donnie and Gunner taking him under their wings… I gotta goooood feeling!
August 2nd, 2008 at 8:42 pmDennis Johnson, eh? lol
August 2nd, 2008 at 9:02 pmDennis Johnson, the black PG with red hair and freckles? He was great, but he’s no longer with us. The other Dennis Johnson hasn’t been in the league for years. Trevor Johnson? Brian Johnston? And if it’s Trevor I’ll deduct that you are a Husker fan–yuck!!
August 2nd, 2008 at 9:10 pmHOLY SHIT!!!
Albert goes down, then today Dorsey goes down. WTF!!!
I knew this was going to be a rough season, but this is ridiculous
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:01 pmanyone hear how bad Dorsey’s knee is?
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:35 pmHe walked off on his own power, and it’s not the same leg he hurt two years ago. It’s apparently week to week, kind of like Phat Albert. His MRI is tomorrow, but I’m guessing both will definitely be ready for the final preseason game. The season no problem.
The silver lining will be the extended playing time both Herb Taylor and Tank Tyler see, and the ripple effect with their back-ups.
We’ll keep everybody informed for sure…as soon as we here about that MRI, we will be on it.
August 2nd, 2008 at 11:58 pmAnd I’m dealing with that heat, too, CMF!
August 2nd, 2008 at 11:59 pmhas anyone seen what formerdb has said about dorsey? i’ve looked but can’t find.
August 3rd, 2008 at 9:21 amin other news farve has been reinstated in camp monday. LOL now i feel like espn throw farve in for no reason LOL
found it, he was 4 feet from dorsey on the table. said that the head trainer ran the knee through the paces everything felt fine then asked where it hurt. GD said inside trainer put thumb and pushed GD said ouch, trainer eyes wide like “thats all there is” and said you tweaked your knee. then GD WALKED to the locker room.
August 3rd, 2008 at 10:14 amALSO gretz says albert “MAY miss week 1″ SHIT
All you have to do is see last years draft picks filling in for this years draft picks to see what a great draft we had indeed.
August 3rd, 2008 at 11:54 amGreat news about Dorsey.
August 3rd, 2008 at 12:16 pmThat sux about Albert, but I think Herb is up to the gig.
I’m worried. People are saying “Oh, well the backups will get more playing time.” Yeah well, the backups aren’t rookies. Glenn Dorsey and Branden Albert are the ones that completely lack game experience. They need the playing time.
August 3rd, 2008 at 12:43 pmTank Tyler and Herb Taylor are rookies for all intents and purposes. Especially Herb–he played in one game last year. Glenn played at LSU, for National Championships. He’s ready for the big time. Albert is who I am really worried about. Learning that position would be tough without this injury.
August 3rd, 2008 at 1:00 pmHere’s another great quote from ‘The Show’:
“It’s a big change for me, but like in college, in my second year I took over. And that’s what I plan on doing now, I plan on taking over and being the man from here on out.”
Gawd I LOVE to hear him say things like that!
