Stray Arrows: Matt Jones "Blows" It

I’m just going to come out and say it–Matt Jones now has no chance of becoming a member of the Chiefs. Jones was arrested after he was found chopping up coke with a credit card in a car in his former college town of Fayetteville, Arkansas. A credit card you say? Yes, apparently he was waiting to get his razor back. I know, I know, terrible joke. Had to go there.
I think we can all see now why Jones hasn’t lived up to expectations. I wouldn’t hold your breath for the Chiefs to make a run at him when his inevitable release happens. I’ll say the same thing as for us going after Chris Henry and Koren Robinson. Bringing in players with character concerns just isn’t Herm Edwards‘ style. I don’t see that changing either.

July 10th, 2008 at 2:05 pmWhen you’re 19 or 20… there’s a tendency to think you’re bulletproof and the rules dont apply to you because you’re too smart to get caught. Sad though. KC aint the only team that will take a pass now either. But the upside is you get to be first round talent for league minimum dough playing for Jerry Jones or the owner-who-will-not-be-named with a team in cali.
