What did Kris Wilson ever do except under run routes and drop balls? Three-yard catches? I’m sure we can find someone to fill in there.
I’m not even going to respond on Hancock, I mean Koren Robinson.
As for The Centaur. It seems that nine out of 10 Chiefs fans think that name is gay and like Swamp Thing. You might be on the wrong side of the fence on this one. Love Mitch Holtus, but The Centaur is about the most dated thing I’ve ever heard.
I have to agree with you for once Sean, I like Koren Robinson. He’s a guy who had a substance abuse problem, and from everything I’ve read, he has put it behind him for now. He was a very good pro for a couple of years, and I think he is set to have a comeback year this year. Or we could just go with who everybody else seems to like, and pick up a former qb with great measurables, no accomplishments in the league, no passion for the game and will be out of the league in two years. I’d rather root for a guy who has fought to get his life back together, and wants it.
I’m just not sure about Koren. I mean, the Packers did let him go, deciding to go with using a second-round pick on Jordy Nelson instead. I will give you guys that with Nelson Green Bay became a crowded house WR-wise, though. I just don’t see us rolling the dice on him. Any time you can use that phrase on a guy, it is highly unlikely that the Chiefs will take a look. Probably will remind too many of the Rod Gardner experiment.
I must admit that Swamp Thing is a badass nickname, so I do disagree with you on something Sean. Nicknames with a person’s name in them, like the one you suggested, are just not original.
Sean…I have to agree with you…I thought of swamp thing for a nickname but dismissed it. I couldn’t come up with a really original one though; but I am kinda partial to Bid Daddy. I thought that Big Daddy Dorsey had a nice ring to it, but was too late to get it submitted.
I’m not gonna miss Kris Wilson tho, Boomer a little but since he was Jared’s best friend he probably wouldn’t have been happy here anyway. Gool luck to both of them. Good point on Robinson Adam. The Chiefs don’t usually take too serious of a look at anyone with off the field problems.
Big Daddy was Dan Wilkinson’s nickname–yikes! In other words, I’m pretty sure we don’t want to name Dorsey after another DT who went in the top five and busted. I think what makes Swamp Thing so great is that it is not only cool and fitting, but also unique. Who else has ever had that nickname in sports?
Because Kris Wilson is first and foremost a tight end. A blocking tight end, at that. His blocking skills are the only reason he was on the team for so long, because it certainly wasn’t his receiving prowess. WE have Gonzo for that.
He was drafted out of Pittsburgh because of his receiving, not to block and not to be an H-back. And what do you think we had Jason Dunn for–his route running? Kris was never a that good of a blocker. I have a post coming out on this soon, but sometimes I just can’t believe how fans defend certain worthless ex- or current Chiefs.
Eagles signed FB/TE Kris Wilson, formerly of the Chiefs. Pro Football Talk hears that the deal is for three years. What could Dan Klecko have done wrong? Maybe the Eagles will move Wilson back to tight end and push Matt Schobel off the roster. Wilson adds some pass catching ability, but he isn’t going to knock anyone around as a blocker.
He was not a good blocker. We kept him around because he was a 2nd round pick. Another Vermeil and Co. mistake. He just didnt have all the off the field issues that Savii and Simms had so he got to stick around.
When I think of veteran presence I think of guys like Tony Richardson or Jason Dunn. Not a guy that has been in the league for 4 years and is 26 years old.
Woah woah woah woah now there guys. Kris Wilson, while certainly not a GREAT player, was solid… at TIGHT END. However we needed a fullback, and seeing as how he was our 3rd string tight end, he was picked for the job, since they are similar. So he’s learning a new position, on the fly, he’s used to running routes from the TE position, has to reconfigure his mind to doing it from behind the line. Instead of just blocking the man in front of him, at the TE position, he has to figure out where the blitz is coming from, locate it, meet it, and then sustain the block.. When our o-line was shitty as hell. Which also constitutes to why he under-ran routes.. WE COULDN’T BLOCK LONG ENOUGH FOR HIM TO RUN DOWN THE FIELD AND NAB A BALL, especially when Solari was calling plays where KW had to run 10-15 yards downfield, from behind the line of scrimmage, and Brodie couldn’t take 3 step drops and not get sacked… it was horrible. I don’t even particularly like KW, but don’t disrespect the guy for being bad when the Chiefs basically F’d him in the A. Hard. With a big giant something or other.
Give me a break. The guy was a second-round pick who’s play never even merited us burning a late-round pick on him. If he was such a great TE end then why in the hell did we use a third-round pick on Cottam and let him walk? It’s not like the Eagles splurged on him. The problem was that Wilson couldn’t outrun linebackers!
Why do you guys defend worthless Chiefs who were paid more money than you will make in your lifetime for making our Chiefs suck? Blows my mind. I’m shutting up on this until “Earning Your Arrowhead” comes out.
xxxlp, your missing the point entirely on Kris Wilson. Maybe he was thrown to the wolves last year as a FB, but that happened because he couldn’t hack it as a tight end. He was a second round pick, which means he needed to be better than solid, he needed to be exceptional. He was drafted as a receiving tight end, and he couldn’t pull that off. Since we didn’t have a fullback, he was put there so maybe the team could get something out of him. He had no value at FB either, so what value did he have to the team. Don’t defend someone and say they were shafted when they can’t perform in any capacity for the team.
In case “Swamp Thing” doesn’t stick, here’s yet another man-beast moniker to mull . . .
Rougarou aka Rugaru aka Roux-Ga-Roux:
From Wikipedia . . .
In the Cajun legend, the creature is said to prowl the swamps around Acadiana and Greater New Orleans, and possibly the fields or forests of the regions. The rougarou most often is noted as a creature with a human body and the head of a wolf or dog, similar to the werewolf legend.
xxxlp never said Kris Wilson was “such a great TE”. He said he was solid. Which is kinda what I was getting at before. It’s not like Kris Wilson was horrible. Though I do think I was confusing his blocking skills with those of Jason Dunn’s, I have seen Kris Wilson make some really nice clutch catches. And you can’t even argue with that, because I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
If you want an example of a player who couldn’t hack it at their original position or at fullback once they were switched, look no futher than Boomer Grigsby. Good riddance to him too.
I miss Tony Richardson.
ps. @ xxxlp: glad someone liked Bayou Bruiser besides me. I appreciate the endorsement
Thebryman, you’re making my point.. Who was he going to beat out at TE? Our O-line STANK, we HAD to have Jason Dunn out there. And Tony G. was our bonafide number 1 receiver when Kris Wilson was here… And hell, even he had to stay in to block some through these last couple years. I don’t care if the dude was the number one pick in the entire draft, he’s not going to beat Tony G. out for sure, correct? And with the loss of Willie specifically, we were in dire straights, and the Gonz had to stay in to block, as well as Jason, many, many times. Kris Wilson’s forte` wasn’t in blocking, so obviously he couldn’t get much playing time. Can’t blame the guy for being a pass catcher, we just didn’t have the line that he needed to actually do something. Much like Brodie Croyle.. So far, what has he done? Squat. With a line? Who knows..
Like SBC said- you want a guy who has stunk at both his positions, go bash Boomer. He was a nice guy, and a fan favorite, but he couldn’t beat out any of our lb’s (pre-Donnie era, even!) and he couldn’t beat out the uberly, superbly, stupendously, gargantuanly, super-sizably, giantismally, yes I’m making up words-isly, terrible Kris Wilson at FB…
And yea SBC, it’s awesome. Swamp Thing is nice, but it sounds kinda corny, and if we’re going to go the cheesy route I think The Centaur is also fitting. And if Swamp Thing sticks, I propose we call Bernard Pollard The Unicorn, because he’s got the strength and speed of a stallion, but his hits (the horn) really pack a punch! It’s sure to be a hit! *the Unicorn bit was sarcasm, in case you couldn’t tell, lol*
Kris Wilson is garbage. Boomer Grigsby wasn’t a second-round pick. Geez…next thing I know you guys will be defending Kendrell Bell and Samie Parker. What is wrong with you people? Kris never earned his Arrowhead. You guys are much more essential to the Chiefs family than that freeloader was (that’s what you call people who mooch, contribute nothing and leave a situation worse off than when they first came around). He dropped tons of balls, also fumbled, and couldn’t even beat MLBs on go routes. The guy was as worthless as an asshole on my elbow, and he was certainly not clucth…lmao. There was a time when I bought into the hype, too, but that time was a long, long time ago. He may have worked a little harder then these guys, but outside of Bell and Ryan Sims no player has been more of a disaster as an investment than Kris Wilson in recent Chiefs history. Maybe those two hasbeens we brought in to play CB for the gross national product of a third-world country, but that’s about it. End of story.
Swamp Thing is not corny. *shakes head in disgust* Swamp Thing is cool. Is everyone oblivious to pop culture? The Centaur is corny. It sounds like a nickname out of the 30s or something.
And Saint Bernard!
“St Bernards will bark at strangers and their size makes them good deterrents against most intruders…”
Call Page The Unicorn, considering how he tackled last year.
I’m not making your point at all. Jason Dunn actually had value, because he could do something. Kris Wilson, drafted to be a receiving tight end, did not pan out. You can try and make the argument that he did not get on the field because of Solari, Gonzalez, line depth, or whatever, but those arguments don’t stick. If Kris Wilson is supposedly a receiver of any merit, he would have found playing time. You can’t tell me that when you have someone who has any kind of value, you won’t find a way to make plays for them and utilize their skills. If you have a weapon, you try and use it. If they saw anything worth keeping, they wouldn’t have gotten Cottam, and sent a huge bust packing. It has nothing to do with the system.
A. — Adam, I actually think an asshole on my elbow would be about the most useful thing since eyes on my face. Do you know how easy it would be to shit?
B. — Two seasons ago, when Damon Huard was on fire and Samie Parker was our 2nd string receiver, Kris Wilson was a very valid receiving target. I’m actually really interested in seeing what he does in Philly.
OK so now he is a great receiver. Does anyone remember him fumbling last season and it went for a TD the other way? Maybe that is the clutch catch everyone is talking about. Unfortunately, he fumbled that one to the other team…
How did we get into assholes being on an elbow? strange…
I never said he was a great receiver, jeeze.. I said he was a valid receiving target. Throwing to our backs and tight ends was a better option than throwing to our recievers in a lot of cases, and he was a part of that. Remember our last playoff game against the Colts? Eddie Kennison didn’t make a catch, nor did Samie Parker, Dante Hall, or Jeff Webb. Kris Wilson did.
I also don’t think a fumble or two is really a good reason to completely write off a player. It’s like when people call Jeff Webb a horrible receiver because he had that one memorable drop against Green Bay. Do the fumbles Dante Hall made at crucial times during returns that would have been huge or likely touchdowns make him a bad return man? No. He’s one of the greatest.
I’m not comparing Kris Wilson to the X-Factor, of course. Just comparing the logic.
And don’t ask me about the assbows. That was Adam’s thing.
Bry, you just made my point again bro, without trying to. Jason Dunn was easily a top 10 blocking TE in the league. We all agree that Kris Wilson isn’t a good blocker. Jason Dunn was. IMO he was top 5.. Tony G. is easily a top 2 TE in HISTORY. Definetly a great pass catcher, and he also transformed himself into a top notch blocker over the years. Who would KW replace on the field? The truth shall set you free? Ok then…
Fact: Our line was reeling from the loss of Willie Roaf, we could barely run the ball efficiently. How did we counter this? By using 2 TE sets, to help run block.
If we’re using 2TE sets, how is KW going to get in, when everyone already agrees he’s not a good blocker, period, when he’s up againt TG and JD?
Fact: Our tackles for most of ‘06 (there was a bit of rotation, trying to fill the shoes of Willie Roaf) were Jordan Black, John Welbourn, and a dose of Chris Terry and Chris Bober. We’ve already discussed Welbourn when he was released, he couldn’t block an 8 year old girl with spinal menengitis, let alone a 260 lb. athletic DE. Of course we had to help our tackles out.. how? Blocking with tight ends. Again, not KW’s forte`.
True, he didn’t do much with the team, only 42 catches for 345 yards and 4 scores, but given the amount of time he played… When he was not even a 3rd receiving option.. Not bad. Take everything into consideration. Hell, LJ even had 41 receptions in ‘06. That’s not counting any of Bennett’s or other RB/FB’s receiving during the year.
Bust? Watch him do well enough with the Eagles that he gets his payday. As for Cottam, the kid started 7 games in 4 years of college… Not exactly prototypical. When/if Cottam gets injured, or Kris Wilson gets more yards than ol’ Cottam, I’ll be there to give you the Epic Fail sticker, and tell you to shove it up your elbow .
Page isn’t clutch? He has only saved us multiple times from the edge of defeat against a hated division rival, the Faders. Not to mention that it was in the 4th quarter, with less than 3 minutes left, each time. Nor mention the fact that they all came in the redzone/endzone to save the game.. If clutch is that big of deal, then Page is certainly clutch. Even ol’ Ty Law was clutch.. in the playoffs. Snagged Peyton 3 times in ‘06 in our loss, yet you’re quick to bash him as well. Clutch obviously isn’t that big of a deal for other people, let’s not make it one here eh?
And we’ve all agreed that the line, and playcalling, have held us back since the Vermiel Era, it’s not an excuse. Just another fact. Let that sink in for a moment, take a deep breath, and let the truth set you free brotha.
You can’t see me, but I’m pumping my fast right now. Good post, xxxlp.
But Ty Law didn’t pick off Peyton Manning three times in that playoff game. Only twice. The third interception was made by none other than Jarrad Page. In the redzone.
Pump your fist at the fact that you’re rallying behind a guy who’s defending a player our beloved Chiefs wasted millions of dollars and a second-round pick on. Regardless of who was in front of him, or what he does in Philly, we wasted serious resources on Kris Wilson during his time in Kansas City. He was one of our top five failures of the past five years. I’m not calling the guy a bad person, I’m just saying that he hurt the Chiefs. The Colts playoff game? That was when the Colts were basically in a prevent defense and we started using Tony G and Kris together in a way we hadn’t all season. The Colts were just caught off guard. How many other games did you come away from saying, wow, that Kris Wilson played a helluva game today. You guys don’t even want to go back and look at who else we could have drafted there. It hurts…bad.
Jarrad Page is a horrid, horrid tackler. He’s overrated. Bernard Pollard is the better player. Neither guy is a burner, but I’d rather have a slower, sure-tackling, hard-hitting SS than a slower, poor-tackling, oft-burned FS. He gets his INTs here and there, but his tackling is just pathetic, and his coverage is merely average. Like I said, a 44 hasn’t misfired that much since a blind guy had one at the shooting range. I never said he wasn’t clutch, but when you need him to make a tackle during the first 58 minutes he certainly isn’t. Maybe he’ll tackle better this year. I can’t handle seeing no. 44 dive for air as much as I did last year again. Disgusting.
I’m a Pollard guy myself, and I often wonder why most Chiefs fans seem to favor Page. He’s not the better player. I’m actually hoping DaJaun “Torpedo” Morgan replaces him.
TE Chris Cooley(I really dont need to go any further than him, but I will. Thats right we could have Cooley instead of Wilson)
DT Darnell Dockett
C Nick Hardwick
OT Max Starks
WR Bernard Berrian
WR Devard Darling (one player we have now)
QB Matt Schaub
OG Travelle Wharton
LB Shaun Phillips
LB Demorrio Williams (another one we have now)
WR Jerricho Cotchery
There is a ton more but I figured I would at least point out a few that followed in the rounds after round 2.
Honestly, you dont really want to go back and look at the Vermeil era drafts it will make you sick.
Yes, I’m rallying behind him, because your bashing him before he had much of a chance to prove himself. And when he did, it was under a new position, under a POS offensive coordinator, with shoddy playcalling, thrown in with a line that I could have sacked Brodie through. He didn’t get his shot here. Why? We drafted him when we had THE BEST line in football. We didn’t need blocking tight ends! We wanted pass catchers, to make our already potent offense even better. We could have used 2 TE sets, with TG and KW, Kennison and anyone else at WR, and dominated. He’s a pass catcher, plain and simple. Maybe with time he might develop the ability to block.. somewhat. We couldn’t get him in, because we needed blockers. It’s the nature of the beast, and this beast is NFL business. It’s on no ones head that Willie and Will called it quits. It’s not anyone’s fault that he didn’t work out here, he just didn’t. But don’t bash him because of it.
I like Pollard too; moreso than Page, but both are young safeties, we gotta give them a few years to develop before things actually click. Plus you can’t blame them for having the dual responsibility of covering their spot on the field + the CB’s man (whom the CB slipped and fell down behind) as well. When they get to do JUST their jobs, they’re both fairly good, talented young guys. And with that, I bid you good night, sir. I said good night!
And just for the record I am neither a Page or Pollard “guy” right now. I think the both have tremendous talents, but I need to see more complete games from them both. Love em’ just want to see this season really showcase their stuff and I think they will.
Adam, I actually feel like Pollard is the better player as well — it’s the reason he was drafted in the 2nd round and Page was drafted in the 7th.
I do feel that Page is a talented young safety who will only get better; however, I’m not sure why you assume that just because someone likes Page they “prefer” him or think that he is better than Pollard. Safeties work as a team. It’s not like preferring one quarterback over another. It’s the reason there are two of them.
The fist pumping was purely because xxxlp made the best argument of anyone in this thread of comments thus far.
ps. Chris Cooley was not drafted as a tight end. He was converted from a fullback. But yes, it would have been pretty nifty if we’d nabbed him instead of Wilson (we need a fullback anyway!). Who knew, though?
Of course you are going to say that about xxxlp’s argument–you’re the president of the Kris Wilson fan club, and that was the closest thing to a decent case yet
I’m just shocked that Kris Wilson has a fan club. He probably is, too.
Man, I only go to bat like that for guys like Brian Waters, L.J. and Tony G. You guys are going to bat for Wilson like he’s your own flesh and blood. I understand why you have nothing against the guy, but he wasn’t a good Chief. That’s been my point all along, and it’s indisputable. It might not have been his fault or whatever (go ahead and think that if you want), but he was still a bust as far as producing on the field for us.
As for the Page and Pollard thing, yeah, I was a little hard on Page. But sometimes I think guys like Page and Brodie Croyle and Samie Parker get a free pass because of where they were drafted. Once you put on that Red and Gold, I don’t give a damn where you were drafted–you better produce at a high level.
That is an excellent point by xxxlp on our corners, though. We had the slowest secondary maybe in the league last season. With a little more speed at corner, both Page and Pollard might fare better in coverage. But Page still needs to work on his tackling. That’s what happens when G-Wes mentors you, I guess.
Argh…this Kris Wilson thing got out of control. I’m wondering if we can even bash Kendrell Bell or Ryan Sims on our own site at this point. I’m done on this one until the piece comes out…
Well couldn’t sleep, so watched a few shows I had DVR’d, and thought I’d check back here. I agree with you, Kris Wilson wasn’t a great Chief. Hell, I’ll say he was a mediocre Chief. Even slightly-under-average Chief. But look at the facts, we drafted him for a purpose, well.. Vermiel did. And he wasn’t able to fulfill that purpose with us, because our offense changed dramatically. He’s definetly a 2nd round talent, IMO, and will be a nice 2nd stringer for the Eagles, who may eventually blossom into a Tony G. wannabe type player. We just couldn’t utilize him how he needs to be utilized. Usually you stick a guy where his best strength is, so he helps you out the most. Well that’s tough when his strength isn’t as strong as Tony G’s strength, pass catching. Can’t blame the guy for that. Not many guys can even hang on to Tony’s jock, let alone match it. Just watch out for KW, is all I’m saying. If the Eagles use him the way he needs to be used, he’ll have a helluva year/career there.
As a sidenote: I still think Kendrell Bell would have been a TON better had we used him at MLB instead of OLB. And on that token, Kawika was actually better for the Giant’s at OLB than MLB. So we would have had a ‘decent’ group of LB’s there. The Bell thing is the same as KW’s, in theory. We got him for a purpose, but his strength was on the inside, particularly in a 3-4 D. We brought him to a 4-3 OLB spot, and expected the same results. Shenanigans. Just a bad move, IMO.
Sorry dude, I never intended to stir up a debate over a mediocre player who we cut. It’s just that y’all are acting like he’s Ryan Simms or something. I’d at least compare him more to Jeff Webb — dissapointing but not horrid.
Final word. Again we dont hate Kris as a person. We are just as mad at the people that drafted him when we didn’t need that position. Everyone knew that, but still Kris did nothing under the Vermeil era (the guys that wanted him so bad). His best years have actually come under Herm. Anyways like I said we are just as mad that the Chiefs wasted a 2nd round pick on him when we could have helped our OL now, Had an actual H-back in Cooley, or have a franchise QB in Matt Schaub. DONE lol

I’m copyrighting that by the way.

He was just a really great blocker. Gonna miss that, especially with our shaky/questionable O-line.

Go ahead and copyright Bayou Bruiser. You might have to wait until we draft another DT out of LSU, however, because this one already has a nickname
July 1st, 2008 at 6:45 pmI’ll start calling Glenn Dorsey Swamp Thing when I hear it on TV. Maybe.
July 1st, 2008 at 7:57 pmThat’s what we’re pushing for
July 1st, 2008 at 8:38 pmIf I ever hear “Dorsey the Forcey” on TV I will buy you season tickets, guaranteed…
Also Kris Wilson blocking? Why did we try Boomer Grigsby at fullback then if Kris was such a great blocker?
July 1st, 2008 at 9:42 pmBecause Kris Wilson is first and foremost a tight end. A blocking tight end, at that. His blocking skills are the only reason he was on the team for so long, because it certainly wasn’t his receiving prowess. WE have Gonzo for that.
July 1st, 2008 at 10:07 pmHe was drafted out of Pittsburgh because of his receiving, not to block and not to be an H-back. And what do you think we had Jason Dunn for–his route running? Kris was never a that good of a blocker. I have a post coming out on this soon, but sometimes I just can’t believe how fans defend certain worthless ex- or current Chiefs.
July 1st, 2008 at 11:59 pmSorry but you cant argue for Kris Wilson…especially as a blocker.
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:11 amProFootballTalk:
Eagles signed FB/TE Kris Wilson, formerly of the Chiefs. Pro Football Talk hears that the deal is for three years. What could Dan Klecko have done wrong? Maybe the Eagles will move Wilson back to tight end and push Matt Schobel off the roster. Wilson adds some pass catching ability, but he isn’t going to knock anyone around as a blocker.
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:23 amHe also likes flexing, lol
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:25 amOK fine what I meant was “I’ll miss his veteran presence.”
I feel like I’ve lost credibility.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:15 amWell why the hell did we keep him around then? I could have sworn he was a good blocker.
Well I know Jason Dunn was. Maybe I was getting them confused.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:18 amHe was not a good blocker.
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:23 pmIt’s just not right to defend a worthless ex-Chief like Wilson. Almost like treason. Again, this will be the subject of an upcoming post.
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:32 pmKris Wilson – couldn’t block, couldn’t catch – NEXT PLEASE!!
July 2nd, 2008 at 1:24 pmWoah woah woah woah now there guys.
P.S. Bayou Bruiser! Love it!
July 2nd, 2008 at 1:59 pmGive me a break.
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:05 pmxxxlp, your missing the point entirely on Kris Wilson.
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:15 pmDamn it, Adam beat me to it.
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:15 pmAlso if he was such a great TE why couldn’t he beat out one-dimensional Jason Dunn? I love Jason, but he was more of a 3rd OT than a TE.
Like Double D said:
“Kris Wilson – couldn’t block, couldn’t catch – NEXT PLEASE!!”
No need to discuss him any further….
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:16 pmIn case “Swamp Thing” doesn’t stick, here’s yet another man-beast moniker to mull . . .
Rougarou aka Rugaru aka Roux-Ga-Roux:
From Wikipedia . . .
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:24 pmIn the Cajun legend, the creature is said to prowl the swamps around Acadiana and Greater New Orleans, and possibly the fields or forests of the regions.
July 2nd, 2008 at 3:11 pmT-Rich was awesome.
July 2nd, 2008 at 3:15 pmThebryman, you’re making my point..
July 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pmKris Wilson is garbage.
July 2nd, 2008 at 5:22 pmI’m not making your point at all.
July 2nd, 2008 at 6:17 pmAnd the truth shall set you free! Thank you, thebryman. You get the golden star sticker for today
July 2nd, 2008 at 7:03 pmOK:
July 2nd, 2008 at 7:30 pmOK so now he is a great receiver. Does anyone remember him fumbling last season and it went for a TD the other way? Maybe that is the clutch catch everyone is talking about. Unfortunately, he fumbled that one to the other team…
How did we get into assholes being on an elbow? strange…
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:39 pmI never said he was a great receiver, jeeze..
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:59 pmThis post is pretty long- prepare yourselves.
When/if Cottam gets injured, or Kris Wilson gets more yards than ol’ Cottam, I’ll be there to give you the Epic Fail sticker, and tell you to shove it up your elbow
.
July 2nd, 2008 at 9:08 pmYou can’t see me, but I’m pumping my fast right now. Good post, xxxlp.
But Ty Law didn’t pick off Peyton Manning three times in that playoff game. Only twice. The third interception was made by none other than Jarrad Page. In the redzone.
I love Jarrad Page.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:04 pmMy FIST. Pumping my FIST.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:05 pmPump your fist at the fact that you’re rallying behind a guy who’s defending a player our beloved Chiefs wasted millions of dollars and a second-round pick on.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:08 pmPlayers we could’ve drafted:
TE Chris Cooley (I really dont need to go any further than him, but I will.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:18 pmYes, I’m rallying behind him, because your bashing him before he had much of a chance to prove himself.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:19 pmAnd just for the record I am neither a Page or Pollard “guy” right now. I think the both have tremendous talents, but I need to see more complete games from them both. Love em’ just want to see this season really showcase their stuff and I think they will.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:20 pmAdam, I actually feel like Pollard is the better player as well — it’s the reason he was drafted in the 2nd round and Page was drafted in the 7th.
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:56 pmOf course you are going to say that about xxxlp’s argument–you’re the president of the Kris Wilson fan club, and that was the closest thing to a decent case yet
I’m done on this one until the piece comes out…
July 3rd, 2008 at 12:29 amWell couldn’t sleep, so watched a few shows I had DVR’d, and thought I’d check back here.
July 3rd, 2008 at 12:58 amSorry dude, I never intended to stir up a debate over a mediocre player who we cut. It’s just that y’all are acting like he’s Ryan Simms or something. I’d at least compare him more to Jeff Webb — dissapointing but not horrid.
But yeah I’m done too. This is gay.
July 3rd, 2008 at 1:39 amFinal word. DONE lol
July 3rd, 2008 at 8:09 amAgreed.
July 3rd, 2008 at 9:38 amKris Wilson Sucks.
July 3rd, 2008 at 10:50 amI come back, miss all the good stuff, and it’s final word, what the hell.
July 3rd, 2008 at 10:53 amYou snooze, you lose.
July 3rd, 2008 at 11:11 am
