Look at big baller Jared Allen! His redunkulous contract with the Minnesota Vikings landed him in SI.com’s Fortunate 50, ahead of one-word household names like Amaré and Eli. I think he’s missed around here, but I’m sure glad that bill isn’t bogging down our rebuilding effort.

It’s good to be Jared Allen I guess. Shoot, with that kind of money, he can go out and buy the biggest party yacht that team has ever seen.
I’ve been hearing good things about Johnston in the OTA reports from war paint illustrated. It would be great if you guys could get more information on this guy and how he is doing. Can you imagine if we yanked Jared Allen part II from a 7th round draft pick? Plus, none of this moving Boone to DE rubbish. If Johnston produces, straight out of the gate, he might be one of our most valuable acquisitions.
From what I’ve heard, it’s way, way to early to be comparing Johnston to Jared, or even to really count on him. If anyone is going to fill Jared’s cleats it will be Tamba Hali. I do agree with you about Boone at DE. Yikes! Maybe in a 3-4, but not a 4-3. I think it might be safer for us to hope for Turk to step up than Johnston at this point. We’ll see…
