Look for Kansas City Chiefs tickets for great seats to Arrowhead at OnlineSeats. We have incredible NFL tickets for every team. We also have tickets for local sports, like a Royals seats during the summer and Kansas tickets for winning college basketball.

A.A.D.Q. – Road Trip

Posted by: Adam Best

Ironically enough, like Chris from Arrowhead Pride did last week, I am moving to Austin, TX this week. Needless to say, I will be out of the loop for a few days. While I’m on my road trip, however, I’ll leave you with a question. But not before I say that: A.) I’m glad Krumrie isn’t my old man; and B.) I’m even more glad I never dated his daughter if he has one.

If you could go on a road trip to watch the Chiefs play on the road in any NFL city, which other NFL city would you choose and why?

            BallHype: hype it up!

I do it almost every year. San Diego Qualcomm Stadium. It is less than two hours away. Lots of Chiefs Fans there!

I have and never would go to a Raider game for fear of violence. No Seriously!

  2. 2. xxxlp Says:

I’d go to Tennessee and watch a matchup with the Titans/Chiefs. Both are my favorite teams, and I’ve never been to any NFL game, let alone my favorite teams’ together. So I’d have to say going to a Chiefs/Titans game would be spectacular.

  3. 3. Double D Says:

New York – not so much for the football experience but for all there is to do before / after the game.

Place I’ve never been but would go see a game at least once – Lambeau Field.

Not Oakland, not St. Louis, not Denver, not Atlanta, not Chicago, not Detroit, not Philly, not Buffalo, not Indy, not Foxborough. Have I offended anyone? :)

  4. 4. peine23 Says:

Also New York because I am from Germany and haven’t been to the USA yet. NY is the first town I want to visit (after KC :-)

  5. 5. Zach Says:

Green Bay…because I would love to see Lambeau and the history of the Packers.

  6. 6. Ken Says:

Jeremy, I’ll see you in SD this November.

Places I’d like to see the Chiefs play:

Miami: I like watching the Chiefs win.
New England: Only so I can yell Cheaters for four hours straight.
Carolina: I’d bring some Arthur Bryant’s sauce and show them what real BBQ tastes like.
Seattle: Seems like a pretty cool stadium.
The Super Bowl, I don’t care who it’s against.

  7. 7. Simon from KC Says:

I have never gotten a chance to go to a Chiefs game :( cuz you have to commit to working at every game when you work at the stadium. So, I’ve been there but never as a fan. I found a way around it tho! My gal and I are going to Boston in early September. I already have my tickets reserved for the Pats home opener with is against my beloved red and gold. So my first Chiefs game will be away (weird isn’t it?) Could you imagine the epic upset it the cheatriots lose week 1 against the Chiefs!? I wanna be there for that!

  8. 8. Jeremy (Riverside, CA) Says:

    Ken, great post!

  9. 9. John Says:

Simon – Crazier things have happened…I think there is a slim chance the Chiefs can surprise everybody and win that first game…

  10. 10. g.l. Says:

My choice is San Diego. I have never been to QuallCom,but I have been to San Diego and I love the area. It is a great place to visit.

  11. 11. Paradise Says:

I went to Houston last year for the opener…that sucked!

  12. 12. Zach Says:

    Anyone going anywhere this season?

  13. 13. Crane Says:

I’ve been to Seattle’s stadium before, they claim to be loudest in the league but unfortunately for them, not nearly as loud as KC. Also, you are so far away from the field, its ridiculous. Fans in KC are right on top of the action and probably take it for granted if they haven’t been anywhere else.
I too would like to go to SD since I am a fan of “twinkle toes” RB’s as Adam calls it, but as I will tell the AA readers, its because he won me two FF championships…not bc of a man-crush.

  14. 14. ComeSackMyQB Says:

id probably have to say san diego also just cuz i havent been to cali ever and id like to see the top 2 rb in the league go head to head and hopefully lj comes out on top..might have to hook up with my guy Roc after the game…2nd choice might be the raiders just becuz i got huge ones and like to talk smack and thats my girls team..im still tryin to convert her….then again..dallas might be fun…maybe hit up a strip club after the game and make it rain with pac man…woot woot..GO CHIEFS

  15. 15. Mitch Says:

Living in North Carolina, this is my one chance in eight years to see the chiefs, so I’m not going to pass that up. I think outside of Charlotte, I’d like to see the chiefs play in Tampa(the stadium seems really fun), Lambeau, and Chicago since those seem to be the more historic fields. Yes I know they rebuilt soldier field, but it’s still classic.

  16. 16. steven Says:

I’d like to see them play in tampa this year, miami next year, dallas the year after that, and then in Indy, but thats just foolishly optomistic wishful thinking.

  17. 17. Mike Says:

i would like to go to green bay, or maybe Lucas Oil stadium after it opens.

  18. 18. Mike Says:

“Carolina: I’d bring some Arthur Bryant’s sauce and show them what real BBQ tastes like.”

no way man, bring some siver dollar city BBQ sauce! now that stuff is amazing!

  19. 19. IISaiNtII Says:

i hope you’re kidding about SDC and their BBQ sauce. it doesn’t hold a flame to the olympic-sized torch of KC’s BBQ

  20. 20. mike Says:

which KC BBQ sauce are you talkin about? KC Masterpiece? thats the only thing i can think of that your talkin about. but KC Masterpiece isnt even true KC BBQ sauce, its made in Oakland (puke)

  21. 21. tyson Says:

new to the site. you said your moving to austin, tx. been here for over 10 years now and don’t know where the chiefs hang out is. been a chiefs fan or 20 years in a sea of cowboys fans. where do the chiefs hang out and watch the game?

  22. 22. cd Says:

I have been to Green Bay in 2003 (T. Green to E. Kennison in overtime to win……IT WAS GREAT), Tenn. in 2004 (pretty decent city with a lot of history) and Dallas in 2005 (lost by a Tynes missed FG at the end of regulation.

Green Bay was the best, not just because of the overtime win but all the Packer history was impressive. Plus the home town crowd was great to the out of towners.

With that being said, I would like to go to San Diego next.

  23. 23. Double D Says:

    Gonna take a slight diversion here . . .

Everybody has their own opinion on what the best KC-area Bar-B-Qs are.

My personal favs – LC’s, Arthur Bryants, Gates, Wabash (Excelsior Springs), Oklahoma Joes, Quick’s.

Not a big fan of either KC Masterpiece or Jack Stack.

Anyway, not entirely sure it’s that big of a diversion – in fact, it’s totally impossible to separate the KC bbq experience from the KC Arrowhead experience.

  24. 24. jason Says:

    rosedale bbq
    earl quicks
    gates
    arthur bryants
    oklahoma joes

  25. 25. g.l. Says:

Okay………here it is……..the official pronouncement of the best damn bbq sauce in the world, bar none. I agree, Kansas City has great bar-b-que, and other places have bbq which is really fine as well, but the best sauce is Curley’s made in Hutchinson, Kansas. Try it, you’ll love it!!!

  26. 26. Double D Says:

Sauce schmauce. As any bbq afficianado knows, it’s all about the meat. The poker is the mvp of every good rib shack.

  27. 27. Dustin (SLO, CA) Says:

    Jeremy-

I’ve gone to see the Chiefs in Oakland twice. In full chiefs gear. The 1st occasion I had to walk a mile and a half to the stadium…. I literally had people screaming they were going to kill me. Even little old ladies. I hate raider fans! (Though half my family ARE raider fans). The last one i went to was DEC 23, 06. Even my lady was RED and GOLD with me. All they could say was “Raaaaaaiiiderrrrrssss” and “Chiefs Suck”. All I could say was, dude, you guys won 2 games…how can you talk shit. This year we’re going to Qualcom. Even when I go to a Raider game that is non-chiefs(friends w/ season tickets and my lil bro turned 21 on opening day last year), I HATE Raider fans.

  28. 28. seanbcool Says:

Green Bay, because I like the Packers too and going to see a Chiefs game there would be amazing.

Oakland, because I fucking hate the Raiders and I always love watching the Chiefs beat them in their house. It would be even better in person. And I’d probably end up getting in a drunk fight.

Seattle, because I’ve never been to Seattle and it seems pretty cool. Plus I don’t believe for a second that that stadium is louder than Arrowhead.

And the best KC BBQ sauce is Gates. No questions asked. I can pretty much put it on anything.
