It's not exactly throwing picks away, but I do agree, we have personnel who can play tackle now. D-Mac, Herb Taylor played well when he subbed in at LT, he's the same type of guy as Phat Albert, a guard with quick hands and feet, who's physically able to take the bull rush from the ends, Phat Albert, Svitek (right side only), and the kid we picked up late, whose name escapes me. Richardson or Richards or Robinson... R something. Hell, I'm going to just stop there.

Oh

And you're taking 3 Tackles in this draft (Albert, Collins & Nicks) PLUS McIntosh already on the roster. Kind of throwing picks away don't you think?

They didn't take Early Doucet because he is a poor mans Dwayne Bowe. Same physical build but not as good and not as much energy. What we needed was a burner and that is exactly what Will Franklin is with a sub-4.4 40. We don't need troublemakers on a team full of young guys so if we can get our needs met without bringing a thug in, we need to do it. Thats why Manningham wasn't picked by alot of teams.

People are going to be surprised about Jamaal Charles. He is not threatening LJs job. He is going to be the second back in a 2-back set, I guarantee. He is almost the opposite of LJ, immediate explosion and fast around the outside. LJs weaknesses are Charles's strengths. The two of them in the backfield together will be amazing.

Collins and Nicks? There must be something about them that turned the Chiefs off. Remember that just because some draftnik that has probably only watched 5 minutes of tape on a player thinks hes a 2nd rounder doesn't mean the professionals whose job it is to study the players do. The Chiefs needed linemen and they continually passed on Collins and Nicks. To me, that means there is something about those guys they didn't like.

Take Brian Johnston in the 6th round when in the real world they got him in the 7th? yeah, that makes alot of sense.
