I finally got one of my Draft Apples! Chiefs fans might be scratching their heads now on this one, but down the road they will be loving big Brad Cottam. 6-foot-8, almost 270 pounds and he was among the top five tight ends in the 40 (4.63), bench press (24 reps) and vertical (33 inches). He won’t be Tony Gonzalez or even Jason Dunn, but at his size and speed he could be a hybrid of the two. He’s a great blocker which will allow Chan Gailey to utilize him right away in two-TE sets. Eventually, he will be Tony G’s replacement. Fantastic pick. Mel Kiper said he might have been a first rounder if he had been targeted more in college. Check the highlights of Dustin Colquitt’s and Turk McBride’s former teammate…

This morning, I wanted us to end up with Early Doucet, Cottam, and another lineman. We got one of the three. I COMPLETELY agree with you, Adam. This guy is the new Jason Dunn. But he can never take that place in Tony G’s tender heart…(tear)
I don’t know too much about DaJuan Morgan…does this mean that we are not believers in Page-Pollard?
I’ll take your word for it on Cottam.
WILL FRANKLIN!!!!
I’ve seen a lot of stuff on DaJuan Morgan that say he’s a good special teams guy.
Gotta love the Will Franklin pick.
cottom is the right choice here, this guy is a workaholic , LJ will love him as well…hahahahaha I just wish they would have drafted a lineman first today
and either side of the line would have been better than the running back.
Didn’t see anything in that video that impressed me. He’s pretty quick for a big guy though.
Looks like a good player, and we needed help at TE
