Ok Adam and Zack I see your point about the past drafts...and as I mentioned in my post the team drafts have been much better since Herm took over and now they have been taken over completely by Herm so we are now going to do it entirely Herms way. BUt to say that picking up free agents has helped Washington is suspect....they have been getting the cream of the crop for over 8 years and they have yet to anywhere in the playoff's and so it has been a waste to put it bluntly...and to use New England as an example actually proves my point because until last year the only free agents they signed were late in the game and were not the free agents that were considered good ones.

I am on the road so I do not have all my stats with me but I am certain about what I am saying. There is absolutly no corrolation with signing free agents with a team that is rebuilding and doing well in the playoffs...now when you have an established team ala New England last year...signing a front line free agent did help them....but that is the first time they have done that...they got to the other superbowl's without signing frontline free agents...and look at the giants who won a superbowl by basically hitting nearly 100 percent on draft picks. Granted if Peterson was picking our draft then I would probably buy into your logic...maybe I am more optimistic about Herms ability's then you both. But I do understand your frustation about what has happended in the past....but my guess is that part of your logic is influenced by your frustration...but Like I said I also am frustrated...and will gladly join you if Herm does not do some magic with this draft....I do not feel that defending peterson is worth my time...not sure why our new owner kept him....he said that it was because he felt that it would help Herm.....not sure about that...

Brodie sucks... FYI.

There are great QB's to be had in round 2-3. The Chiefs will probably snag one.
