Hey – lets hope that Miami or Atlanta buy the hype…that just means that someone else is left there for us!

Again – its not that Ryan is bad….its the fact that he is no better than Brohm/Henne/Flaco

I honestly do not see why most people have Ryan a whole round higher than Brohm. Talk about hype machine. A few months ago people were talking about Woodson going top ten. In my opinion there is no 1st round QB in this draft. I think that Ryan is good, but if I had to say who was better I’d go Brohm by a hair. Both early 2nd’s in my opinion.

If Brohm goes at eight I will be more shocked than I have ever been on draft day. And I’m not saying don’t give Brodie a shot. You don’t play rookie QBs there first year, or at least until the end. He’d have a season…

i’m getting more and more friendly to the idea of drafting a QB early. I just wish it was another year with a QB that I thought was worth a top ten pick. In a lot of Ryan highlights his recievers are either not in stride or comming back to the ball. Whats up with that? He also threw some ugly Int’s. Personally I like Brohm in RD. 2. But if we do either, we still have a big problem at CB considering we will also use a 1st or 2nd on an OT. We can’t get a CB in rd 3 or later and EXPECT him to start. I think the best choices for us this year at CB are Patrick Lee, Brandon Flowers, and Cason. Lee might be there in 3, but the others shouldn’t be. This issue is one reason why we sould have picked up at least some OL or DB help through free agency.

Walterfootball shows the following teams who, as a result of free agency activity and other factors, now have offensive tackle as a high priority (#1 or #2) need going into the draft:

Panthers – LT
Falcons – 2 OTs
49ers – RT
Rams – 2 OTs
Phins – OT
Pats – OT
Stillers – 2 OTs
Texans – LT
Donks – OT
Raiders – LT
Iggles – OT
Bears – 2 OTs
Pack – OT

I also believe the Giants ought to be included in this list considering the reportedly high level of interest they’ve shown in Cherilus.

Just a little something to mull over for those of you who are confident that OT talent will still exist by the time it’s out 2nd round pick.

I wouldn’t book that just yet KCMizzou.

At this point I am willing to say that C. Long will be gone no matter what.(even if he did fall the Raiders would never pass on him)

Next – it seems almost impossible to imagine Dorsey falling to us after his Pro Day. Both the Rams and the Falcons want him – and bad!

Lastly we have Jake Long – he could go to any of the top 4 teams so having him make it to us is a LONG SHOT (no punn intended)

I think at this point we have to assume those three are gone.

Other than Adam and maybe a few others – I believe we are all praying that the Falcons take Ryan. That pick right there will make or break us.

Here is my nightmare situation:

Miami – they decide to take Jake Long and right off the bat we are screwed

Rams – they jump at the chance to take Chris Long

Atlanta – can’t pass on Dorsey, will take a 2nd round QB because they have moved back up in front of the Chiefs

Raiders – take Ellis because of his ties to Kiffen

Chiefs – J. Long is gone, Dorsey is gone, Ellis is gone.

Sucks to be us – unless we trade with someone wanting McFadden

By the way – I am starting to think that Miami, Atlanta, and the Chiefs all pass on Ryan leaving him to fall to Baltimore – and I am not sure if they won’t just take Brohm

I will have to admit that no one is “sold” on Brodie, but I would hate to sell him before the Chiefs found out what he is worth.
