Guys, you never know what can happen, remember when we took Larry Johnson while Priest was in his prime? Everyone was shocked. That worked out just fine. We’re at a better spot right now, we’re going to get talent. But for the love of God can we get off of Matt Ryan’s schlong? Let’s hear about Gholston, Dorsey, hell I don’t care let’s hear about the worst rated guy invited to the draft… All we heard forever was things about Jake Long. Now all we get to read about is Matt Ryan? I understand that everyone has their own opinions, but it’s not just the poster’s opinions of people that matters, it’s the opinions of our community. All I’m asking for is one day, where there’s no posts about Jake Long or Matt Ryan.. I am thoroughly Long’ed and Ryan’ed out. So after this post I will pray I don’t see another Matt Ryan a beast? Or Jake love us Long time! post. >.< As good as Jake Long is, he’s not even the best rated LT prospect in this draft. Tackle as a whole? Yes, he’s great. LT? No, not the best. Matt Ryan, good workouts, could be a great pick, but he isn’t Peyton. Pre-combine mock drafts had him slipping past the first 20 spots, if not completely out of the first round in some. Now all of the sudden he’s a top pick, great QB, a possible hall-of-famer, a can’t-miss pick? Where in the blue hells did that come from? He had good combine results? Tom Brady didn’t have great combine stats. From what I remember he ran a 5 second 40, and wasn’t exactly impressive in his other achievements. We need O/D-linemen. The skill positions fill the seats, but the big boys in the trenches win games. Jake Long is a Hall of Fame right tackle, and a project at left. As everyone keeps saying, we can get good O-linemen in the 2nd round. And probably at least one guy whos rated better than Jake Long at LT. There are 2-3 guys out there slated as better prospects at LEFT TACKLE, not tackle as a whole. Defense with the first pick, and grab a LEFT TACKLE in the 2nd. After that it’s cake.

definately…this is the only reason it bothers me so much that we’re doin nuthin in FA…we need so much and its not all gonna come from the draft

Yeah. It really is pretty insane when you look at our "lack of depth chart". At this point, any pick is probably a good pick for us.
