Stray Arrows: Wiegmann Goes To The Darkside
Ex-Chiefs center Casey Wiegmann is about to join the Denver Broncos. Looks like we pissed somebody off. So much for that back-up plan. From PFT:
A league source tells us that free-agent center Casey Wiegmann is close to an agreement with the Denver Broncos.
Wiegmann has been the Chiefs’ center since 2002, starting every game. The Broncos recently traded Chris Myers to the Texans for a sixth-round pick.
It looks like either Brian Waters or Rudy Niswanger will have to play center, because there isn’t really any left out there at this point. I don’t think we’d be well served to draft a center in the first three or four rounds either. Who knows what we’ll do. Again, where’s the beef?

March 19th, 2008 at 9:10 pmI don’t know about for sure–Webber stayed for two. Duncan stayed for four as well. Guys stay. I think people get too caught up in the Durant-Oden stuff. Guys don’t always go pro. That being said, 90-10 he goes. Walker will stay, though. And Hoskins will be back, despite what Beakers and Tiger fans want to think.
