Stray Arrows: Wiegmann Goes To The Darkside

Stray Arrows (AA)Ex-Chiefs center Casey Wiegmann is about to join the Denver Broncos. Looks like we pissed somebody off. So much for that back-up plan. From PFT:

A league source tells us that free-agent center Casey Wiegmann is close to an agreement with the Denver Broncos.

Wiegmann has been the Chiefs’ center since 2002, starting every game. The Broncos recently traded Chris Myers to the Texans for a sixth-round pick.

It looks like either Brian Waters or Rudy Niswanger will have to play center, because there isn’t really any left out there at this point. I don’t think we’d be well served to draft a center in the first three or four rounds either. Who knows what we’ll do. Again, where’s the beef?
