you know what who says we have to offer this years #2. i say see if they will bite on next years #2 and give them this years #4 to compensate. i think this will get it done. He is too good of a talent to pass up, and he is only 24.

And, yes, we are thinking about doing another mock here very soon. Just waiting for Matt Ryan to throw here on the 24th. Also waiting to hear more on the Dorsey injury rumors (I heard he had a secret knee surgery) and about other Pro Days.

No way will we consider Hall – the Raiders offered a 2nd and 6th round pick for him (not even considering the huge salary he will demand) – I can’t see us giving up 2 picks for him, especially when we might use the 2nd rounder on our own CB.

Boy – I have been pushing to get Hall from the get go….but now I am starting to change my mind…..I still like him as a player…..and yes ROC I think he fits here much better than the Raiders…..I just don’t want to pay that kind of money and give up the 2nd round draft pick…..I would say I am 50/50 on getting him

I agree, we do not want him. We can pick up a corner in the draft. He might not be as good as Hall but we can spend the money on key positions like offensive line or defensive line, or specifically JARED ALLEN, which in my opinion are the two most important areas on a team.

By all appearances, Hall’s position on what he wants to get paid will keep a deal from getting done with the Raiders, too." Let me see, that is three teams he has pissed off. Do we want to pay huge bucks to a selfish player? And the effect on the locker room is?

I’ve been on this D.Hall campaign since day 1. D.Hall going to Chokeland would piss me right the hell off. And its not even so much that he’d be good there… It’s more like I know D.Hall would be so much more of a better player in KC than Oakland… I think that Herm can REALLY mentor Hall and teach him not only how to be a good DB, but also how to become a man. And I think that is so much more than he’ll get on any other team, let alone the Raiders. If he WERE to sign with Oakland, he’d continue to be a pissed off player (due to the typical loss after loss)… With us, he’d be jumping onto a rising Defense with you guys where he can become an automatic leader. And MAYBE learn a thing or two from Pat Surtain…. I say we spend some money on at least THIS guy… HERM!!! 2ND CONTRACT AND HE’S TWENTY FOUR!! AND WE HAVE THE MONEY!!

Adam: A good CB needs to be cocky. I am worried about his attitude. It is one thing to disaprove of Petrino, it is another thing to vocalize it out of the locker room. He needs to grow up.

The attitude thing is overplayed. Almost any star would have had an attitude having to deal with the mess they had down in Atlanta. To me, he just seems passionate, and disapproved of Petrino, as many other vets did as well. I think his cockiness is more of a swagger, that almost all great cover corners and wide receivers need to possess. In other words, I think his ‘tude is non-issue.
