Trent Green Goes Back To The Rams

Posted by: Blog Z

AA FA UpdateThe FoxSports.com Jay Glazer is reporting that QB Trent Green has signed with the St. Louis Rams and will continue his career. He signed a three-year $9 million contract to return to the Gateway City.

Green told FOXSports.com that he’s agreed to a three-year, $9 million deal with the Rams.

The Rams were an attractive destination for the two-time Pro Bowl QB because it allowed Green to go back home to Missouri as well as play for an organization he had already spent time with in 1999 and 2000.

I am just surprised he got someone to pay him 9mil for 3 years. Good luck to him and I want to personally congratulate his agent. :)

  3. 3. Porter Park Says:

9 million dollars cant throw the ball with your grandson. I guess I just don’t get it, but I work as a means to an end; hopefully Trent never plays another regular season snap for Trents sake.

Hey ROC – you know that I am new here right?….how does the whole "start a topic" thing work?….If I have something I want to start – can I do it?…..or is it only the Adam/Zach/Stevens of the world?…….Another question – there is a login/register thing in the top right hand corner – what is the purpose to registering – is that what lets me start a topic……I just got back from a weekend bus. trip and I am pissed off and ready to go……any help would be appreciated

  6. 6. ROC27 Says:

Dave, I honestly have no clue. (to BOTH questions)… but its also things I’d Like to know too . . . . . . . ADAM?

  7. 7. Porter Park Says:

hopefully he is being brought in to mentor Matt Ryan, Bulger is 31, its a possiblity and would make it much more likely that Jake Long is on the board when we pick.. Suprized no one has brought up this angle to the story yet.

  8. 8. Anthony Crane Says:

I love Trent but you have to know when to give it up, he should be working as a analyst or something.

It was amazing to See Trent Green’s performance drop off like it did, even before the concussion.  I guess age will catch up to you.  I hope he sits back and collects the Rams money.  Thanks for the Good Years Trent!!

Chiefs | Team agrees to terms with DarlingTue, 11 Mar 2008 12:19:49 -0700The Star reports the Chiefs agreed to terms with free-agent WR Devard Darling (Ravens) Tuesday, March 11, on a three-year contract. Darling should compete for a starting wide receiver position on the   Chiefs roster. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

  12. 12. Zach Says:

He has an amazing sotry about him and his bro that passed away. Not sure if he will be a starter though….

  13. 13. Double D Says:

    Devard who? :|

  14. 14. Double D Says:

    How fast is he?

  15. 15. Jeremy Says:

Do you remember the last free agent from the Ravens we picked up??????>>>>>>………….  Priest Holmes!!!!!!    Maybe, just maybe history wil repeat itself.  I am willing to give this guy a chance.  He had three tds on 18 catches last year and his average yards per catch was a whopping 18.3!!!!!

  16. 16. Jeremy Says:

This is the perfect situation for Devard Darling… Think about it, if you know ur good; you just need a chance.  Go to the Chiefs since they only have one for sure starter in D-Bowe, as soon as he signed he was a shoe in for at least the third receiver, probably the second.  I actually love this move.  He is you, and has potential.  We can now draft a receiver, if at all, in the late rounds.  Agree?

  17. 17. Jeremy Says:

Panthers released C Justin Hartwig. The move clears the way for Ryan Kalil to start at center. The Panthers had planned on having Hartwig slide over to the guard, but he was never keen on the idea so they cut the injury-prone lineman. Keydrick Vincent and Geoff Hangartner will compete for the job.  BRING HIM IN!!!!!!!!
