Adam #2, you don’t need to apologize to me buddy, I love all the comments good or bad, as long as they are about the Chiefs or articles someone on here has written or wrote in the past. That is the main reason me and the others write these articles is to let fellow Chiefs fans feel envolved. This is a great forum for all of us to do just that. Our goal is to make this the best site for Chiefs fans to visit everyday for the latest commentary, news and updates. Thanks everybody, this is awesome!

D.Thomas, I’m somewhat with you… and I’ve been saying that this WHOLE time! Just the same way we take risks in the draft. And in my opinion, I think its a lot more riskier to draft a kid, cause what if he doesnt work out? You’ve just wasted time, money, energy. With guys like Allen Faneca, Asante Samuel, or Shaun Rogers, if they dont work out, you’ve REALLY only wasted money… And thats what I dont get. I understand that we wanna build our team through the draft, but to not bring in a FEW veteran guys to take the lead of a team and show the younger guys how to really play the game is ANYONE’S guess… I just wish that we made a couple moves… I was reading the Kansas City paper (online)… and Herm said in his interview that he doesnt wanna "sign big names just cause it looks good on paper"… I just about lost it. It’s like all of us here at AA know the NFL. We KNOW who’s out there, what our team needs… Its like "Ok Herm, do you think that Max Starks cant help us be a better team? What about DeAngelo Hall? What about Bryant Johnson?… Do you REALLY feel like these guys are just a waste of money??" … Then WHY re-sign Larry Johnson? Why re-sign Tony Gonzalez? What about Brian Waters? He’s what, 31? 32 years old? Why not release him, if we’re haveing this so-called "youth movement"? Same with T.G… He’s 32, 33 years old. Why dont we release him??? Because HE is GREAT!! Waters is great! L.J. isnt quite 30 but he’s one of those "big names" that "look good on paper" yet we threw so much money at him to stay in Kansas City… why? You got it… Cause he is GREAT! So, ask yourself… Is signing a 26 year old Tackle, another 26 year old Wide Reciever, and a freakin’ 24 year old Cornerback really gonna hurt the team??? I dont think so. Starks and B. Johnson are EXACTLY what Herm said he was looking for. "Going into their 2nd contract" – "A guy that was stuck behind a starter" -"YOUNG!!!" The only thing with D.Hall, is that he could be that ONE big name Free Agent (who has so much talent to bring to the team)…. I dont know. Its frustrating… Plus, didnt Bryant Johnson play with Larry Johnson at Penn State?? Eh, whatever… Herm, Carl, and Clark are gonna do what they wann do… nothin’.

The chiefs were the only team on it twice with Marcus Allen at number 4 and Priest Holmes at number 6, I would reverse those, I feel like Priest was better than Marcus during his time here, but both of these were under Carl Peterson. I don’t know what that means, but it could be an interesting discussion. Also he took a lot of heat for drafting Larry Johnson, maybe Carl should just be a scout for running backs. lol
