Carl is an idiot and one reason for allot of behind the locked doors... atmosphere, with the players and staff and managment at Arrowhead, outwardly we see problems and stress comming from the players quite often, but behind closed doors, it is so much worse... the community and fan support, along with the whole metro areas' appeal... do so much in keeping players here in KC... yes the money talks... but the organization under King Carl isnt what it used to be.

Whoever said DE isn't worth 2 first rounders is insane. DE is one of the top 3 positions on the field. QB/OT (Mostly LT, for right handers)/DE are the top 3, not necessarily in that order. They are game changers, their performance affects the outcome of any given game 9/10 times. Say your QB throws 5 picks.. most likely you are going to lose. Whereas if he throws 5 TD's... Chances are good you'll win. Say your LT gives up 6 sacks (As Winston Justice did for the Eagles) most likely you are going to lose. Say he dominates the line and gives your QB all day to throw. A mostly winning percentage there. Say your star pass-rushing DE gets no sacks/tackles in a game. Ouch. You know the trend by now. Say he gets 3 sacks, a forced fumble, hits the quarterback 5 more times, and swats a ball down, all on top of 6 tackles. Great D, great chance to win. One could argue that MLB is the 'leader of the D', but just look at what DE's did for the Giants against the Pats. On a sidenote: if I had the ability to get Allen for 2 1st rounders, I'd snatch him up quick. A young pro-bowl STUD pass-rushing DE, with the ability to decoy/make great plays on special teams/offense, who can be a leader/mainstay on your team for the next 6-10 years? Piece of cake. Done deal.

Other teams won't negotiate with him unless they are willing to give up the 2 first round picks. What benefit does it serve another NFL team to help out a player finding out what he is worth if they don't intend to sign him? I agree with the setiment that no team is going to give up 2 first rounders. I could be wrong. I'm sure Allen is playing hardball, like I mentioned earlier, he has all the leverage. If you have the league leader in sacks on your team, and there is a significant chance he is going to get better---you have to pay him. SHOW JARED THE MONEY!

Jared is playing hardball? I don't know, he just wants his money to ensure his future, and he knows he's better than basically every other DE in the league. He's committed to the city and the team, why the team isn't reciprocating that committment is beyond that.
