Starting Five: San Diego, Dallas, San Fran, Green Bay, New England & NYG
You know the drill
No leapfrogging, and leave your picks in the comments, preferably with brief commentary on your selection. Let’s get this AA Readers Mock Draft finished so we can talk about it! FYI, to the best of my knowledge the 49ers are still open. If you want the Niners or previously had them and we missed it, please let us know.
This link or the image button on the sidebar will take you to the official page so you can see who’s been picked thus far.

ryan if you were waiting on me…Adam or Zach have placed the Jags pick , for me on the mock draft board…so it is you on the clock…
February 18th, 2008 at 5:59 pmThanks for clarifying that, Beard. Guess I just assumed poeple would figure that out
Maybe I assume too much…
February 18th, 2008 at 6:29 pmno problem… thought that, that might have been the reason…
February 18th, 2008 at 7:05 pmand for the record I am drafting for New Englands’ second first round pick….
February 18th, 2008 at 7:06 pmAdam: Any decision on doing more rounds or staying with a one round mock?
February 18th, 2008 at 7:29 pmI want a three round mock… we desperately need the fix
February 18th, 2008 at 8:19 pmI don’t feel like I know enough about college football to go beyond the first round, unless I were to have some time to research.
February 18th, 2008 at 8:29 pmlet me guess, Ryan is a fireman who… doesnt get off work till wed. at noon…hahahahaha
February 18th, 2008 at 8:30 pmafter selecting MU and Kansas palyers in the first round… I dont think your knowledge will hurt you corn.
February 18th, 2008 at 8:32 pmif no one has taken it, I will pick for San Fran
February 18th, 2008 at 8:55 pmbannyc9, you got it!
February 18th, 2008 at 9:15 pmhey you didnt give me New Englands second first round pick…
February 18th, 2008 at 11:13 pmThat’s because they forfeiteed it in Spygate.
February 18th, 2008 at 11:51 pmHeh, I thought this mock draft was pretty solid except the blatant homerism.
February 19th, 2008 at 8:33 amWhen do we start the poll?
February 19th, 2008 at 8:50 amI second the motion for additional rounds.
February 19th, 2008 at 10:37 amSorry for the delay – I will take Quentin Groves, DE/OLB from Auburn
February 19th, 2008 at 1:37 pmGroves is arguably the best DE still on the board but I think the Chargers biggest defensive need is on the inside, where they need a nose tackle and safety. Unfortunately, there’s no NTs or SS/FS still on the board worthy of a 1st round pick. The Bolts also need CB help, so I personally would have gone for DRC at this point. Still, Groves is not a bad pick in terms of adding youth and depth.
February 19th, 2008 at 3:13 pmI thought about DRC – but then thought about how much the Bolts love to blitz…and blitz…and blitz. Groves could line up anywhere and be a threat to rush the passer.
February 19th, 2008 at 3:21 pmThe Rams say @$$#@ to the Groves pick because he was supposed to fall to them in the 2nd round
February 19th, 2008 at 5:02 pmGroves is one of those guys who is a good pick up late first/early second. I’m glad a team that runs the 3-4 picked him up. He’s quite the rusher off the edge. Wasn’t it Groves who destroyed K-State’s left tackle early in the season.
February 19th, 2008 at 5:19 pmDRC+Antonio=universe explodes?
February 19th, 2008 at 6:03 pmHey, aren’t Sippio and Bowe cousins too?
February 19th, 2008 at 6:03 pmYes, that was Groves.
And Damion McIntosh and Sippio are cousins of Bowe.
February 19th, 2008 at 7:19 pmWith the 28th pick the Dallas Cowboys select Gosder Cherilus OT out of BC. This pick was made because of the potential loss of Flozell Adams. I thought very hard about Dr. C or Kentwan Balmer here, but thought that Cherilus was the right pick.
February 19th, 2008 at 8:26 pmWasting no time, San Fran takes DT/DE Kentawan Balmer out of North Carolina. Bryant Young is no spring chicken. With good size, he is reminding scouts of a Adam Caricker that can play a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT. Now with Willis and Balmer their middle should be shored up. The 49ers are hoping for more Julius Peppers and less Ryan Sims!
February 19th, 2008 at 8:40 pmWe might have to look into some future rounds. Loving this so far.
February 19th, 2008 at 8:49 pmWith the 30th pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Addict Readers Mock Draft the Green Bay Packers select Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie from Tennessee State University. Both Al Harris and Charles Woodson are getting up there in age so the Pack will be looking to take a player capable of replacing them if one or the other goes down with an injury. RC has tremendous man-to-man cover skills and is able to make plays when the ball is in the air, so he’ll fit in nicely in Green Bay.
February 20th, 2008 at 7:42 amEven though the Giants won the Super Bowl, I have some areas of need. Having said that, I can’t pass up a player who is a top 15 on my board, just sitting there for me at 31. The Giants select, from the University of Florida, Defensive End Derrick Harvey.
