Saints Roll With McKelvin, Bills On The Clock

by Chiefs

I must admit, my favorite response by a mock drafter thus far has been Cornelius‘. First off, he start off with a wisecrack back at yours truly — which is always appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed — the whole thing was entertaining. Not only was it entertaining, but it was also informative. The New Orleans Saints clearly did their research before nabbing CB Leodis McKelvin out of Troy — also known as the small school in BFE that embarrassed Mizzou on national TV a few years back. I still remember the clip of that big ol’ defensive tackle pulling a Shaun Rigers before Big Baby even did. Anyways, Porter Park and the Buffalo Bills are up, a team that despite its record I know is worse off than we are. Good luck…

redbeard - my point is that it's not unusual to find good lineman deeper in the draft.  I believe there was at least 1 guard picked in the 1st round that year - Shields was something like the 6th or 7th guard picked.

Apologies again, Ive been switching around those names for day one, I cant get the Longs straight either

not a bad corner in his own right... and double d... I said left tackle shields never played left tackle...so there goes that round three pick you spoke of

Why thank'ya Adam. I've enjoyed reading this blog, by the way.

I figure since you put USF you mean Mike Jenkins.

Did you mean Mike Jenkins? Malcolm decided to stay in school.

My mistake, I did'nt catch that the saints selected him; I that case the Buffalo Bills select CB Malcom Jenkins, USF; this could pan out well for the Bills if Jenkins doesnt stay out late at "da club", McGahee said there is nothing to do in Buffalo, which might be good for Jenkins.

McKelvin is already off the board.

Buffalo Bills select  CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy State.. Agreed the Bills despite the record are worse off than the Chiefs, glaring holes in the D and same story on offense.  I gotta go with the best avalible at a posistion of need.  I think the Buffalo faithful would be estactic if they got the top rated cb and given Micheal Jenkins arrest for fighting (no charges filed, but were familiar with similar problems looking at Missouri b-ball this year) you really got to have McKelvin as the #1 CB with the current NFL doctrine.

awh...Mizzou never gets embarrassed...hahahahanot like the chokehawks who always get overated and then loose in the first round of the big tourny...hahahaha year after year after year
