I still can’t believe that the New England Patriots picked Ryan Clady. Hey, the New York Giants defensive line did own them at the Super Bowl. Anyway, that bring us to kcchiefsfan56 and the Baltimore Ravens. You’d think Matt Ryan would be the pick here, but the Ravens also need to replenish their cornerback depth. We’ll see what happens.
By the way, this is about the pace we’ll keep (3-6 picks per day). That will give everyone time to comment on and discuss each pick. Additionally, mock drafters will have time to do research, and will only have to check the site frequently on the day when they are within five or six spots of drafting. Lastly, contrary to popular belief, we do not sit around and stare at AA with our eyelids forced open Clockwork Orange style all day long — on most days, at least. The real point is that this is the perfect speed. Keep in mind we are still two and a half months away from the NFL Draft. We’ll do this one and at least one more AA Readers Mock Draft.

well for the ravens pick im gonna have to draft qb out of boston college matt ryan im not sold on troy smith and the ravens need a franchise quaterback
and draft a cornerback in the secondround or later because we still have chris mcallister and samari rolle
That was quick and painless
we’ve been quick and painless all day long…, just call us *clockwork ORANGE fans*….hahahaha
oh i know lol
Redbeard loved the Clockwork Orange comment!
Just trying to keep the readers from throwing a mutiny!
Clady to the patti cake club…. makes you sick to think about that one… and thats another reason to have had drafted Clady…
In defense of the Clady pick. I did quite a bit of research on the Pats and on multiple Mock draft sites and came to the following conclusions:Gholston was the perfect choice, but wasn’t available. Too bad the 49ers didn’t suck more. The players who fit the Pat’s needs were too far down in the rankings to merit a #7 pick – LB and CB. The Pat’s don’t reach for players, they exploit those who do- thus this pick in the draft. Was Staley really worth it SF???The Pats have historically not drafted for need and it’s tough to argue that they haven’t found success with the best player possible- heck they cut their 3rd round pick this yearClady is a beast and fits the mold of their current offensive line. He’ll not only shore up a unit which is good, but he’ll provide the relief they need when, like this year, they face some injury issuesI welcome any and all discussion. I know this pick shocked the AA folks, but I don’t think it’s beyond reason to see it happen if the real draft unfolds this way.MV
I could still see them taking Safety Phillips, a LB or a CB over an OL, but it all depends on who is on the board for them….
If Samuel leaves they will take a corner, no doubt in my mind. This draft is heavy with OT so they could easily grab one in round 2 if that is what they want to do. If they somehow resign Asante then I could see them grab a LB, DE, or trade the pick to get more in normal NE fashion.
kcchiefs fan 56, no need for explainations…if he was on the board they should grab him… as with all the other poss. being passed on by teams to grab the o&d linemen this year that will leave some very good corners and safeties for them in round two
he adds help and even makes it easier for him to be the starting right tackle… I can see no way possible for clady not to start on the right side of the line he is way to good not to.
