I’ll be checking in every so often during the Big Game! Here we go…

17:51:34 – Eli Manning looked terrifiic during that first drive. One errant throw, but the Patriots didn’t even really have a shot at it… makes me think about drafting Matt Ryan… Brandon Jacobs planting one on Brandon Merriweather was also awesome… can’t wait to see L.J. do that in 2008… even Bradshaw displayed some nice physical running… Nice to see that we have a game… and good foe ex-Chief Lawrence Tynes… commercial wise, the Godfather-inspired Audi commercial has been the best so far hands down…

18:08:12 – The first quarter whizzed by… the Giants are going to have to start scoring, or this game will be over at the half… they can’t be overly conservative… this is no time for Solari ball… that Maroney is a damn good player… too bad for my fantasy team that Belichick didn’t use him until about Week 14… Cars.com and Tide have decent commercials… the online Go Daddy one is retarded, FYI…

18:21:13 – That pick was all on the other Steve Smith… Bardshaw and Jacobs are really picking up blitzes and blocking well, something L.J. could do better… but we should try not to use him too much in those situations… Osi is a beast… great Clydesdale/Rocky commercial… IRON MAN… should be awesome… back to a close game…

18:30:55 – Uh, I don’t know, Eli’s played as well as Brady so far… that pick was not his fault, screw what Troy Aikman says… Jared Lorenzon is the biggest blog of a quarterback I have ever seen… is that a clipboard or a donut box he is holding… hopefully Turk will end up like Justin Tuck… the unsung hero of the Giants’ defense… that line makes me want us to take a long look at Glenn Dorsey and Sedrick Ellis… Kawika Mitchell, another ex-Chief thriving as a Giant… we need Carl and Co. to get a little Simon in them come draft day… no more Ryan Sims or Justin Medlocks…

18:42:54 – Not gonna lie — lackluster game so far, even though it is close… the Giants had their chances this half… my guess is that the Pats make halftime adjustments and regroup to put them away… pretty funny Pepsi commercial.. J.T. got clocked in the head by an HDTV… smart play by Bradshaw to bat that ball away on the last drive for the G-Men… David Diehl looked Svitekesque on that one…

18:47:30 – New England’s offense looks like ours… one point a want to make is that maybe the blueprint for the Chiefs is not the Browns, but instead the Giants… if we can improve our DTs we could have that kind of D-line… Patriot first down, we’ll see… but what I was saying is that Jacobs, Plax and Shockey remind me of D-Bo, L.J. and Tony… plus we have great defensive ends… on cue, Justin Tuck, Osi, Strahan, etc… really making a case for us drafting a DT… especially with this crop of free agent offensive lineman… when you have a front four like they do, almost any back seven is going to look pretty decent, if not good… HALFTIME… I listened to Tom Petty, in like fifth grade… gonna take halftime off… hopefully, the game and the commercials will improve, and the latter has gone local… uh-oh…

19:16:19 – Love the “Get Your Story Straight” commercials, always have… Tom Petty at least sounded pretty good in the background… let’s get this game back on, over and on to the 2008 season…

19:33:46 – The Pats still look terrible… and that Osi reminds of big No. 69, doesn’t he?… those Sales Genie commercials are downright racist, geez… good challenge by Belichick, even if he loses… paging Randy Moss… Bueller… Bueller…

19:43:17 – Man, this Giants’ defense is pumping me up… so rooting for the G-Men at this point… Steve Spagnoli, the defensive coordinator, need a head coaching gig… Giants’ offense can’t get too much done… Plax should have caught that… by the way, big Pizar fan so I’m looking forward to Wall*E…

20:01:12 – More gushing about the defensive attack of the G-Men… unbelievable… Justin Tuck is the man… this just shows that if you can hit and pressure any QB enough, as a result he becomes average… Brady, Peyton, Romo, Favre… anyone… now the offense just has to do something… Plaxico Burress has to step up big time here…

20:14:52 – No Plax, but we have a game… Kevin Boss — who I predicted would be the steal of the draft in a RF 365 column last year — really made that drive happen… that other Steve Smith has also been sensational… and again, Eli makes a case for us drafting a QB… are the Sarah Conner Chronicles any good?… who knows… great marketing, though…

21:10:12 – Sorry, got a little caught up in the action… whoa!… Eli Manning… all I can say is that this is what I rooted for to happen to the Pats all season long… and Randy Moss doesn’t get rewarded for Vince Cartering it in Oakland to get traded… and the Patriots get some serious karma for all their cheating… take that Harrison… take that Belichick… man, that was awesome… and Plax came up big in the clutch… from a Chiefs standpoint, this game makes me think that unless Jake Long is there, that we need to take Matt Ryan or one of the two standout DTs… there are plenty of FA offensive lineman and corners, and this is a deep draft for both… that’s it… congrats to the New York Giants (and ’72 Dolphins… argh).
