The man had horribly injured knees, that he never fully recovered from, and a bad back to boot. As well as lingering durability problems that have plagued him for the vast majority of his career. He was a blocker extraordinaire, only because he had to be. He couldn't run routes as effectively as he used to in Philadelphia. He just couldn't do it consistently. That's why we hardly threw to him, that and the fact that he was probably the 2nd, or maybe 3rd best blocker on our offense. We needed him to block, not to catch. Same reason Gonzo had reduced catches. We needed him to block. It's not a problem of we just didn't throw it to him, it was a case of 'his mind said he could do it, but his body said otherwise'. Yes, Dunn will be missed, at least by those knowledgeable to the game. He wasn't a Tony G, in the eyes of the majority of fans/media, but he was just as crucial to our game planning. Have a nice retirement from the NFL ya 'old quart of glue.'

It amazes me how everyone has all these comments to make about Dunn now. Personally, I don't think he got a fair "shake" in kc at all. A Tight End who never getstthe ball thrown to him? Lets be real? The two times this seasonthey did throw it, he caaught it.he more than did his job on the blocking end of things, but from traiing camp on , the coaching staff had negative things to say about him. they put him oup on the rookie floor of the dorm, called him a "quart of glue" and that was all during Training camp. No one bothered to mentioned that some of the MAJOR yds gained the past couple of years were due to his blocking. good luck Dunn, and thanks. If I were you, i would be telling kC that they don't deserve you and that you are MORE THAN GLAD TO LEAVE!

McFadden would help alot, for the (let's be generous here) 50% of plays he would be in on. But a tackle/guard would be in on at least 90% of the offense's plays, assuming he stays at least semi healthy, without very many stamina problems. So someone who will help more is still key.
