Stray Arrows: Ex-Chief Signs with Cowboys

Former Chiefs fullback Ronnie Cruz signed with the Dallas Cowboys today. Cruz was released by the Chiefs at the beginning of this season. He had previously tried out for the Cowboys twice, but failed to be signed by them until now. It looks like the Cowboys feel that he will be fully recovered from his knee injury from the 2006 season, and ready to go for the 2008 season. This will give them the opportunity to at least take a look at him during the off-season.

Also signed was three-year veteran Ronnie Cruz, the former Kansas City Chiefs fullback who came through twice this season for workouts. Cruz spent three seasons with the Chiefs, and was expected to be the starting fullback in 2006 before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He did not play for anyone in 2007.
