Stray Arrows: Goodbye, Eddie?

Found this over at The Star, in an Adam Teicher “Notes” piece

Wide receiver Eddie Kennison won’t play and has probably played his last game for the Chiefs.

We love you, Eddie, but it’s time to move on. Bernard Berrian as a replacement, anybody?

            BallHype: hype it up!

Eddie, you gave us some good years; but yes, it is time for you to go.  Berrian will get bigger money somewhere else.  Herm will go out in the 3rd or 4th round and pick up another young reciever.  Honestly, I would love for us to go Jake Long in the first and maybe a Limas Sweed in the 2nd.  Just a thought

He still might play somewhere but his injuries are now mounting, and his age doesnt sit well anymore….. and with the coming draft we may (I dont like it) be drafting  a wideout number one…

Berrian can’t be the answer. That’d be a typical Chiefs move: signing an over-hyped player. How about Bryant Johnson from Arizona? He’s a stud.

You obviously haven’t played fantasy football, have you? B.J. still sucks (pun intended) even playing alongside Boldin and Fitz. He’d fair no better opposite Bowe.

Did you seriously just refute that with a reference to fantasy football? His stats aren’t loaded because he’s playing behind two incredible receivers. I think he’d be an under the radar guy.And I’ve played fantasy football 3 times. I won the league each time.Hater.

There are plenty of other wholes which have to be a priority. Draft picks need to focus on offensive line, cornerbacks….use free agency to bring in undrafted rookies and develop them via the practice squad to further the youth movement. If can use Eddie one more year and still manage the salary cap, keep him. If not, Eddie you had a great career in KC….
