Thank you, Tony Gonzalez, for having another great season while the Chiefs continue to strugglethrow it away.
Goin’ Gonzo: TE Tony Gonzalez extended his franchise-record streak of consecutive games with a reception to 111 contests, the second-longest streak compiled by a TE in NFL history and the sixth-longest active streak by a player in the league. Gonzalez caught a 15-yard TD from QB Brodie Croyle. It was Croyle’s fifth TD of the season and the 66th of his career.

The Chiefs have lost six straight. That is the worst streak since 1987. (I am still going to go to the Titans game this coming Sunday)
- Herm Edwards on the game:
“The defense put our offense in a bad way,” Chiefs coach Herm Edwards said. “Right now our strength, if we have a strength, is our defense. And you can’t give up 14 points early in the first quarter of a football game and expect your offense to come out and start moving the ball. We’ve struggled all year scoring points.”
- It doesn’t get any worse than this… Chiefs get crushed by Denver 41-7 at Mile High – KC Chiefs Fanatic
- I couldn’t agree more with Jared Allen:
“I’d hate to see rock bottom if this isn’t rock bottom”
“Whenever you play KC, you are going to get a physical game. I’m a little sore, but it’s football and that’s what it’s supposed to be.
I was surprised they called it a prop,” Marshall added. “You’ve got to have fun sometimes. That’s what it’s all about. It’s like I always said: This is like playing Pop Warner football and drinking Kool-Aid and eating Pop Tarts. That’s what you have to do in the NFL.”

I’m literally disgusted by what I saw out there today. I mean, really–when your first 1st down of the game comes off of two defensive penalties, and that’s just about the extent of your offensive production, it’s gonna be a bad day. I’m looking at TG’s beautiful TD, I’m looking at MVP Colquitt’s fantastic boots, and I’m looking at three magical (and, frankly, now unbelievable) 4th down conversions: otherwise, absoutely everything was sickening.
Seriously, I’ve never been so embarrased to be a Chiefs fan. Never before have I purposely (or willingly) left a game or stopped watching–my TV was off before the 3rd quarter was over. The 3rd quarter. Now, I just wonder if there is any
onetwothreenumber of players we can draft/acquire this off-season to bring us back to a competitve level. Putrid. Seriously. Today was a numbing day in the Chiefs nation.I think the team has finally hit rock bottom. A lot of improvement needs to be made. It’s not a great time to be a Chiefs fan – but I will continue to stick by them.
Excuses are like…… assholes and Herm Edwards just ran out of colon.I worked over my DirecTV Superfan package this weekend and couldn’t find a team playing with less heart than ours.Even the Jets, Dolphins, and 49′ers were working through the 4th quarter.Ugh. Herm’s lost the team- they don’t believe in him, his system, and his methods. He’s failed at his own credo-"Know your role and do your job"He is not a good head coach. He is a good defensive coordinator. He should go back to the role he’s meant for.MV
Even though this season is lost, I am confident we can be back in the playoffs in a couple of years. We just need to revamp the entire O-line. I actually think Brodie Croyle would be great with some protection (Really). We need new db’s for next year. That is it. Remember, the Colts had to be the worst team in the league to get the #1 pick for Peytom Manning. It is the life of an NFL team. GO CHIEFS!!!! We will be back!
