Chiefs @ Broncos Open Thread
Might as well get this thing started off early with it being an away game today. If the Chiefs win only one more game this would be the one I would want to win. Nothing is better than beating the Donkeys to help keep them from making the playoffs. GO CHIEFS!!! Go ahead and leave your prediction too.

I have either Rams-Bengals or Chargers-Titans right now. Yuck. Neither of these games even really mean that much to me fantasy wise.
December 9th, 2007 at 12:08 pmfor some reason the poll doesnt work
December 9th, 2007 at 1:44 pmIt’s because it was both in this post and the sidebar. Should be fixed now.
December 9th, 2007 at 2:11 pmHow’s it going, guys? Anyone else getting as much joy in watching Miami’s road to 0 as I am?
December 9th, 2007 at 2:41 pmTry it now Redbeard.
CWebb, I love seeing the Dolphins lose. I want them to go 0-16 and maybe they can start sipping champagne when all the winless teams win.
December 9th, 2007 at 2:51 pmI was looking at Arrowhead Pride’s post (that had the thing about us having a 0.1% chance of getting in) and the link said the Pats going 16-0 was 43%, but the ‘Phins going 0-16 was only 20%. Isn’t that kinda weird? I guess cuz they played Buffalo today, because from here on, they’ve got an off-and-on Baltimore, the Pats (if they had to win one, God would make this happen so we could all experience irony in its fullest), and Cincy. Not too easy a schedule–not hard (that’s what she said), but not that easy).
BTW, anyone else seeing this Lions-Cowboys game? Are you trickling urine, too?
December 9th, 2007 at 2:55 pmSamie Parker is inactive. Sippio???
December 9th, 2007 at 2:55 pmGreat call on that, Chris.

December 9th, 2007 at 3:08 pmTony Romo is bad ass… I want to be him. (Don’t agree? 2 words- Carrie Underwood.)
December 9th, 2007 at 3:10 pmDamn, now the Chargers! Looks like a good football day around the NFL.
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 3:13 pmTony Romo is with Jessica Simpson now, which is an upgrade.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:17 pmGet the Chargers off the screen. Damn.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:17 pmWho hasn’t he been with? This will land him a new celeb chick after this win. (Did I just hear someone fire Matt Millen?)
December 9th, 2007 at 3:18 pmDJ got caught inside on that long run. damn
December 9th, 2007 at 3:19 pmSimpson, Underwood, or, apparently, Kelli Clarkson–who you got?
Thanks to CBS, I got to miss the 50-yard run… and see the TD
*pulling knife out of drawer* Hello again, friend.

December 9th, 2007 at 3:19 pmTy Law and Page just got burnt by Stokely.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:20 pmYikes. This could get ugly. Might be doing me a favor keeping this other one on.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:21 pmTy Law got embarrassed and Jeff Webb just fumbled a kickoff..
December 9th, 2007 at 3:21 pmDammit namesake, don’t screw this up for my family!
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 3:21 pm1st and 10, Short pass to Kennison for a gain of 6
December 9th, 2007 at 3:22 pmexcuse me 2.
2nd and 8, Kolby Smith gains 7 yds
December 9th, 2007 at 3:22 pmSolari switching things up = Pass-Run-Run. Fun.
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 3:23 pmSimpson. But I still hink Romo is just scratching the surface. I think he’s going to pull a Brady and move on to Leonardo DiCaprio-level tail pretty soon.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:25 pm3rd and 1, Smith gets stopped short of the first. Chiefs are punting.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:25 pmGod-almighty…
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 3:27 pmSelvin Young already has 78 yds on 4 rushes.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:27 pmWe look horrid so far
December 9th, 2007 at 3:28 pm2nd & 4, Broncos on the 27, Marshall makes a catch and gains 23 yds.
Broncos on the 7
December 9th, 2007 at 3:28 pmHenry rushes on first and gets down to the 2
December 9th, 2007 at 3:28 pm2nd and 2, Henry TD
December 9th, 2007 at 3:29 pmAnnounce just said this is going to be a long day for the Chiefs and I am feeling the same way….
Ty Law looks horrid.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:30 pmI hate quotes like "Travis Henry is one of the great short-yardage backs in the league." I understand what they mean, but it sounds like he’s good at not doing a lot. Like "This student is one of the great late-work turner-ins in my class."
December 9th, 2007 at 3:30 pmIs everyone getting the game now? or want me to continue to post things?
December 9th, 2007 at 3:31 pmBenny Sapp has a nice return to the 29
December 9th, 2007 at 3:32 pmFalse start on Chiefs. 1st and 15, Tony catches a 5 yd pass.
2nd and 10, Kolby Smith stuffed for a loss of 1
December 9th, 2007 at 3:34 pmAnother false start, Eddie Kennison just needs to take the rest of the year off
December 9th, 2007 at 3:34 pmSD 23, TEN 17
December 9th, 2007 at 3:35 pmBrodie fires a pass to TOny, short of the 1st by 2 yards. Chiefs punting again, OH BOY!
December 9th, 2007 at 3:35 pmWhat a melt-down. I just don’t understand it.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:37 pmMy family can die, the lady can leave me, I could get seriously sick with cancer, and I’d have to sit here, watching this torture for the next 2.5 hours—but when they show that Southwest Airlines commercial with the flatscreen TV… damn, I can’t help but giggle.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:40 pmOk… now it’s time to start.
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 3:47 pmDoes anyone know what the Broncos fans are saying in the stadium after defensive plays? It sounds like "Ay-Ah-Ee."
December 9th, 2007 at 3:51 pmBOOOOOO-MAH!
December 9th, 2007 at 3:53 pmBOOM!
December 9th, 2007 at 3:53 pmNew star o-liner: Jared Allen.
December 9th, 2007 at 3:55 pmBrodie is going to get killed out there
December 9th, 2007 at 3:57 pmIs it just me, or is putting Sippio in on just obvious rushing plays a bit of a telegraph?
December 9th, 2007 at 4:00 pmI love the way he fires that ball in there– Mitch is right, I think that he’s cold, man.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:00 pm3 first downs! Day-m!
December 9th, 2007 at 4:01 pmFalse start. Sippio was in, too. Damn.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:02 pmTG= Thank God.
-cw
December 9th, 2007 at 4:03 pmWhat a block by Sippio!!
December 9th, 2007 at 4:03 pmTony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 9th, 2007 at 4:04 pmwith our linebackers hurting today it opens the running game for the donkeys
December 9th, 2007 at 4:11 pmand we now know that croyle will learn to play hurt…lolall I want for christmas is two lineman in the draft, 1st and second rounds
December 9th, 2007 at 4:13 pmThe difference, Beard, is that Croyle has guts. He can bounce back from his shots, unlike Huey. That is important, line or no line.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:15 pmHere comes a fine. Eff you, Marshall, wasn’t like you did anything.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:16 pmI apologize for my bitterness.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:21 pmI can’t wait to see how we re-make this OL, I think everyone is ready to see that.
I would like to move McIntosh over to RT if we could get a good LT. Also need to figure out RG and C (If Weignmann retires or we decide to go a differnt route)
December 9th, 2007 at 4:21 pmAlan Faneca is out there… and apparently he’s pissed at the Steelers. Jordan Gross can play right tackle. Flozell Adams left tackle prob. Womack’s a good guard. There are some FA options. And then there’s the draft. Putting the remodeling effort solely on rookies would be a mistake, though.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:27 pmI just don’t understand what’s happened with the defense. They were so good earlier this season, and now, it’s like an attitude of unmotivation. It’s like they feel overwhelmed with the fact that they have to be in charge of scoring points since, obviously, nobody else except for TG is gonna.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:30 pmOn a completely unrelated note, is Mike Nolan going to get canned or what? Man, they have made zero progress under him. That Alex Smith pick was awful.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:30 pmTimes like this, I wish we had Direct Ticket. This Patriots-Steelers game is looking interesting on GameCast. 14-13 Evil Villains, BTW, with 2 minutes left.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:35 pmFun fact– I’m playing a fantasy owner who has Brady, Moss, Jennings, LT, and AP. Speaking of which, how many more snaps must he take to simply clinch ROY?
December 9th, 2007 at 4:41 pmPurple Jesus has been a disgrace today. More like Purple Saul, that turncoat. He and T.O. are screwing me.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:49 pmPurple Saul? 2 points for the Biblical reference.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:50 pmAnd it’s one thing for our offensive line to block poorly, but to block so poorly they get Tony Gonzalez hurt? I think our O-line is worse than the Rams.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:51 pmHow was that not P.I. on whoever was covering Kris Wilson? Refs probably figured he would have dropped it. I would have.
December 9th, 2007 at 4:52 pmWhy the hell am I still watching this?
December 9th, 2007 at 4:55 pmeverytime I close my eyes, I see jake long.
December 9th, 2007 at 5:00 pmI think I am having that same thing happen to me merlinn, strange…
