Jared Allen's TD Catch

Since there isn’t really anything to be excited about with the Chiefs, I figured I would talk about the one thing that made my day — Jared Allen’s TD catch. What a play by the One Man Gang, who at times seems like the only Chief who is going full throttle. Here is what Jared had to say about the catch:

“It was just a play-action pass back to me. The key was to sell the block. I probably should have sold it a little longer. They put me in there to do that and I caught the ball. … I always play catch in practice. I was 1-1 for a touchdown in college and now I’m 1-1 for a touchdown in the NFL, I’ll take it.”

Do you think they’ll throw you one again?

“We just started this thing around here. Who knows if they throw to me again? We’ll see.”

What are you going to do next? (This is why I love Jared Allen) :

“I’ll be in the gym. I’m going back to work. Obviously, I have to play harder. That’s the only way I can look at it. For me personally, I’m going to work harder. I’m going to try and do more to help our team win. … I’ve never lost this many games in a row in my entire life. I have to be mentally strong and not let it get to me and not let it get me in a funk, where people start believing that the season doesn’t count anymore. Each time we go on the field we have an opportunity to play and an opportunity to win and I’m going to take every opportunity I get.”
