Brodie Croyle will not play this Sunday against the Chargers. Brodie hurt his back in last week’s game, and the Chiefs were waiting to see if he would be able to play this weekend. The Chiefs have decided that he will be unable to go because of a bruised back. Damon Huard will get the start. Here we go again…
Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle will be sidelined with a bruised back Sunday at San Diego and will be replaced by veteran backup Damon Huard.
Croyle, who had started the last two games, could not practice Friday, coach Herm Edwards said.
The second-year pro, who has been tabbed as the Chiefs’ quarterback of the future, bruised his lower back in the first quarter of last week’s game against Oakland. He finished the game but was in discomfort.
