Yep, that’s not a typo — the Indianapolis Colts have signed ex-Chiefs wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe.
Of the Colts’ top four receiving weapons — Dallas Clark, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez — only Wayne practiced on Thursday. I’d anticipate that Harrison will play at San Diego as it’s a grass field and he probably could have gone last week against the Patriots except that Tony Dungy wanted to preserve him for the rest of the year. Not saying I’d pick him up, but Chief-for-a-moment Craphonso Thorpe had a good week in practice.
I guess one team’s trash is another team’s treasure. I also guess that most any receiver can look decent opposite Reggie Wayne with Peyton Manning slinging the ball to him.
