I don't think they are a dime a dozen. Are they easier to find and groom than QBs? Yes, but every position is. Whitlock acts like the Colts just grab people out of the stands and throw them behind Peyton in the backfield. All three of those guys were first-round picks. He's the ultimate spin doctor, man.

Some RB's are good into their 30's. Its just a calculated risk, considering LJ's performance and the fact he hadn't started too many games yet, I think it wasn't a bad choice at the time to get Larry a new contract, under other circumstances I actually agree RB's are a dime a dozen and if your guy is getting older and your can either start fresh for cheap or keep an aging RB with a good history it takes a lot of consideration.
