Brodie Croyle Named Starter?
Apparently, WHB is reporting that they believe Brodie Croyle will start at QB for the Chiefs from here on out beginning this Sunday against the Broncos. RotoWorld is reporting that Brodie is getting first-team snaps:
Brodie Croyle has continued to get first-team reps for the Chiefs because the Chiefs fear that Damon Huard “is hitting a wall.”
While we wish it were true, we’re not prepared to officially report this as news, so we’re still calling this a rumor. We do want it to be true, though. Without Larry Johnson, Brodie’s arm strength and mobility (not to mention courage, something Damon Huard lacks at times) would definitely give the offense a better chance to succeed.

I hope this is the case, I believe with our record what do we have to lose by letting brodie get the much needed time under center. We can chalk this season up to rebuilding after all he is supposed to be the future of the team.

November 6th, 2007 at 2:58 pmI'm just curious… and yes I'm a girl but I know a tiny bit about football… How can we say Huard is bad when he has no time what-so- ever to throw. He is playing with the same line that our "record breaker" RB's are playing with right?? And they can't get half a yard. I wouldn't doubt their average is -2 yard per carry. Huard had incredible numbers last season. This should be a refelction of the line not Huard … He is accurate, smart and seasoned. Croyle is inaccurate and still jumpy. So how exactly is putting Croyle in going to help us? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Interceptions a bad thing?
November 6th, 2007 at 11:04 pmI hear you on OL. That is why most feel we need a QB that can move better in the pocket because with a bad OL you will need that ability. With LJ out that might change things cause you might want a veteran QB back there. But if we get out of the divisional hunt, then you have to see if Brodie has the ability to be an NFL QB.
November 6th, 2007 at 11:14 pmKFS, I know lots of women who know football quite well. L.J. was actually averaging 3.5 yards per carry before he got hurt. That’s pretty amazing considering the amateur-hour playcalling and crappy blocking. With Huard, the guy has no stones, no arm, no creativity, no mobility… and on and on and on. I have lots of thoughts and even a theory about him that I’ll delve into tomorrow. For now, just trust AA that it needs to be Brodie time.
