Damon Huard to Start
It’s just been announced that Damon Huard will start this Sunday. Damn. So much for the Brodie Croyle era kicking off with a bang against the Cincinnati Bengals’ porous pass defense. I guess we’ll have to endure at least one more week of Mr. Too Scared/Slow to Get Rid of it. My problem is that I don’t feel The D-Bo Show can really fire on all cylinders until Croyle is under center. Call me crazy, but that’s just my $.02.

October 10th, 2007 at 3:51 pmI can't help wondering if part of the attitude of the offense is that they're just biding time until Brodie comes in. Herm made it pretty clear that he's the future and everyone is holding their breath each week for when he will come in. Nobody gets real excited about playing with a guy that they know will be gone soon. This thought struck me reading the teams comments after the Jaguar game and Damion McIntosh referred to Brodie as "Joe Montana".If this really is how the Chiefs offense feels about Brodie, how enthusiatic do you get with Steve DeBerg-like Damon Huard if you have somone that reminds you of Joe Montana waiting on the sideline?
October 10th, 2007 at 5:01 pmDamon reminds me more of Elvis Grbac. Steve Deberg was at least tough. I will always remember that thumb cast he wore. LOL
October 10th, 2007 at 5:47 pmExcellent point, D.J. That makes a ton of sense to me.
October 10th, 2007 at 7:42 pmThis could be sort of like the experience the Redskins had with Jason Campbell - they used to hide him behind Brunell until the old man would inevitably get injured, and then Campbell would come in and get some reps. He's matured into a pretty decent QB, so here's hoping.
October 11th, 2007 at 10:40 amThat's an excellent point, Extra P. Campbell looks like a top ten QB right now.
October 11th, 2007 at 2:07 pmdamon huard is a great man. off the field he is a quality guy. In high school he would confront everyone using the juice. Its good to see a clean pro athelete. I’m a seahawks fan but I always root for damon.
