Monday Quarterbacking
This is what other blogs are saying the day after the game
Big Cat Country - Jacksonville Jaguars v. Kansas City Chiefs: What Happened/Recap, Offense
(This is a must to go check out because Chris talks about his experience at Arrowhead as a Jaguars fan)
The problem with drinking many 7.25 beers is that eventually you have to go to the bathroom. Wearing my Jags Jersey while attempting to releive my bladder allowed me to get grabbed by the collar by what I assume is a drunk fan, who was easialy 100 pounds bigger than me, that raised his fist and gave me the look of death. Then going to the bathroom felt like taking a shower in Prison, as I rode through the taunts and boos. That five minute stretch was the only negative in the whole weekend.
Arrowhead is loud. There were some 3rd down situations that were absolutely unreal in just how loud that crowd can be. Of course, I suspect that the architecture of the stadium gives a little boost, but the KC fans act like they’re a force to be reckoned with.
Tony’s Kansas City - There is only a KC Chiefs quarterback “controversy” if you are an idiot
The Chiefs cannot win win in their current configuration and considering the ineptitude of the rest of their bargain basement lineup, things don’t look that promising in the near future.
Incidentally, LARRY JOHNSON’S PERFORMANCE WAS NOT ONLY PATHETIC BUT ALSO AN EXAMPLE OF A CLASSIC KANSAS CITY RIPOFF.
Chiefs Blitz - …And Another Thing (or two)
Ty Law is horrid. Whether it’s the defensive calls or not, I don’t know but Ty was playing 7-8 yards off a tight end playing in the wide receiver position that is 6′8″…is he that worried he’s going to get beat deep by a man that size? Really? And why hasn’t the great Jason Whitlock not chimed in on the Ty Law aquitsition? I’m sure you all remember Jason steaming and spewing about all the Chiefs need to get to the Super Bowl was the signing of Ty Law. Where is the Super Bowl? Where is Ty Law?
Arrowhead Pride - Larry Johnson’s Nightmare Season
I heard some random sports radio guy at lunch rag on LJ for not “breaking enough tackles”. From what I saw, LJ received no help blocking. Not even Tommie Frazier himself (circa 1995 Fiesta Bowl) could have broken enough tackles to win that game.
