Chiefs Upset Bolts!
What a win! My first thought is that this win needs to be about respect. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Our Kansas City Chiefs went to Qualcomm and outplayed the Chargers. The media spin will surely be that Norv Turner lost this game, but that’s not the case. The Chiefs defense stifled the Bolts offense, and the unit really turned up its play another notch in the second half. Meanwhile, the Chiefs offense finally got into a groove in the second half. In fact, the Chargers looked like the 12.5-point underdogs out there, not the Chiefs.
The pundits need to stop describing our defense as merely good. We have one of the best defenses in the league, hands down. It’s time for the rest of the NFL to take notice.
And if one more fantasy guru describes Dwayne Bowe as an OK No. 3 wide receiver, I’m going to lose it. D-Bo has quickly become a bonafide NFL No. 1 receiver. Eight catches, 164 yards and a touchdown? The kid just keeps getting better, doesn’t he? The sky is truly the limit.
Speaking of improved play, what about Derrick Johnson. I honestly believe that D.J. is our defense’s most valuable player. Still, while D.J. might be the most important player on our defense, Jared Allen is the heart and soul of the unit. The fact that we were 0-2 without Jared, and are now 2-0 with him, that says an awful lot.
Much more to come on the game, but for now enjoy the rest of your Sunday and your AFC West first-place Chiefs!

Looks like ESPN won't rank the Chiefs 31st this week again lolz

September 30th, 2007 at 7:30 pmok, yes bowe is a good reciever.(dont say great yet…) LJs' numbers last year took him close to greatness, but… even he doesnt have everything yet to be considered truely great… people dont need to bow down to which ever player others tell them to…I am greatful to have Bowe playing here… we should have drafted a wideout with skill when dick was here… not that we dont want him now ( we have him ). What people are still even today doing is *OVERLOOKING* the times our o-line has stepped up and given Huard at least three seconds to get rid of the ball. If they would work on more plays than the quick slide step (slant), that they are using, I hope still we have more plays for bowe than what we have seen… nothing against bowe or the line or even huard… but without even looking at another reciever huard will be getting picked soon enough. play calling was better in the second half, imagine what will happen next year when , well you guys know who we'll draft…hahahahahahaha *
