Who is Joe Lobdell?

AUTHOR: Adam Best | IN: Chiefs | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Joe Lobdell (Indianapolis Colts Official Site)I was sitting around last night wondering just exactly who this guy, Joe Lobdell, is and how he might be able to help the Chiefs in the future. I am not sure he ever will, but I wanted to at least give everyone some more information about this kid. He played at Northern Iowa and was first recruited to play defensive tackle, but heading into his junior season they made him an offensive tackle. His first year as a tackle he was honorable mention and his senior season he was second team All Gateway Conference. Three other teams were interested in his services after he was released from the Colts practice squad — the Jets, Falcons and Bills. I am rather positive about this kid because he has only been playing O-line for two years and shows that he could possibly improve into at least a back-up someday. I am just glad that we are still active in the waiver wire. Here is some more information I dug up on Lobdell.

  1. CWebb says:

Does anyone else find the acquisition of random practice squad-level guys boring lately? I mean, it'll be nice if these guys pan out… hell, even if 1 guy turns out to be a Maslowski-level guy, that'd be sick. I just like how it's all these random dudes – Johnny Baldwin, Rashad Barksdale, and of course Tyler Thigpen. It feels like when you get a couple seasons down in Madden and guys drafted by the game start to get out there… "Who the hell is Jason Adkisson?" It's ok, better than doing nothing.

  2. You post certainly was one of the best points of my Saturday. I had been on Yahoo looking for something totally not related when the title caught my interest. So i am glad I took the time to read your post! Feel free view my sports articles should you get some free time!
