The Boomer Grigsby Show 9/12 – Featuring Michael Bennett

The Boomer Grigsby Show (WPI)Once again, it’s The Boomer Grigsby Show, which went down last night. You can find the podcast here. I must admit, ESPN Radio 97.3′s Kenny Holland and Warpaint Illustrated‘s Nick Athan, along with Boom himself, are doing a heck of a job. Michael Bennett and the director of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Kansas City Chiefs were the guests. Give it a listen, as Boom’s show really has been gold thus far. Man, when Boom talked about some girl wearing a No. 46 shirt that said “Hard Knockers” on it, yeah, I just about lost it. They definitely picked the right player.

I also loved Bennett’s appearance. First, he raved about Kanye West, a Best bro’s fave, and dissed 50 Cent, who I can’t stand. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you listen to the podcast. The “Williams Sisters” comment about the Minnesota Vikings’ Kevin and Pat Williams was also hilarious. He even did impersonations. Bennett is quite the entertainer, and seems like a helluva guy, too. I think we’re all glad he’s a Chief as well, because he’s about as good of a back-up running back as you’ll find in the NFL. But what’s up with the baby blue Hummer? You went to Wisconsin, you’re a Chief now — the color is red! The pimped-out Hummer golf cart — which Boomer dubbed something like “mantastic” — sounds badass, though. I’m also glad to see that Boom is now considered a “running black.” I could go all day, so just give it a listen.

Anyway, I’m already going to have to label this show a can’t miss for Chiefs fans.
