Adam Teicher is reporting that the Chiefs are planning to activate Bobby Sippio to the 53 man roster and release tight end Michael Allan. This speaks volumes about the severity of Eddie Kennison’s hamstring injury and the coaching staff’s desire to make some plays on offense.
I’m struck by the decision to drop Michael Allan…I understand it, but I think we are loosing a real talent there. Hopefully he won’t get snatched up, and we can quickly get him on the practice squad.
In all of the plays captured on video by Hard Knocks, and those in the St. Louis game, Sippio never dropped a pass. Hopefully he will dress on Sunday in Chicago (Teicher indicates he will dress), and get an opportunity to make some great catches for a team that desperately needs someone to make a play.
