Chiefs at Texans: First Half Thoughts
Here are my thoughts on the first half…
Losing Eddie Kennison hurts bad. Dwayne Bowe and Jeff Webb simply haven’t shown up. Both dropped extremely catchable balls, Webb’s costing us an interception. They’ll need to play better in the second half for the Chiefs to have any chance at making a comeback.
Alfonso Boone is looking good. He might end up being a huge addition for our defense this year.
Damon Huard actually looks sharp to me. Almost all of his throws have been accurate. He made one bad pass to the sideline at the tail end of the half, but that’s it. His receivers just have to hold on to the ball now.
Larry Johnson also looks pretty good, but the passing game will have to get something going in order for L.J. to really get rolling.
The big thing is the turnovers. I know that we got a pick (Jarrad Page), but two turnovers and a shanked kick in a half on the road just isn’t a formula for success. We’ll see if the Chiefs can come out and have a better half and get back into this thing.

September 9th, 2007 at 1:57 pmI don't think Huard looked good. That interception was on him not Webb. Huard doesn't have the arm strength to get that ball on the sideline before the safety comes over the top. Maybe Thigpen can start for us!

September 9th, 2007 at 3:21 pmok been busy… but hey the shank… give the guy some credit for getting it away and I'm glad houston didnt pressure the kick … the snap was bad and he got a decent short legged kick there …. What suprised me was that parker actually caught the ball… dont hate when he actually *CAUGHT * the rock… I dont blame wilson from the way I saw it that was a helmut…*NOT*!!! …
as for bowe he needs to make TD drives to make up for not getting a O-LINMAN… (I know it isnt his fault), he didnt pick himself for us…hahaha, did I see it correctly when we started the game we had BIG MAC… and then something happened to him or he got tired as we had our deff. end playing left tackle again *and by doing so if you watched … watters cant make up for the left tackle as he was trying to… he did a great job , but having to help on the left side kept him from playing the guard spot correctly.
