The Chiefs cut down to their 53-man roster today, leaving some Chiefs fans surprised. QB Casey Printers was cut, leaving many to believe that the team had decided to go with Jeff Terrell has their backup QB. Well, forget that idea because he was cut too. This looks like the rumors of the Chiefs trying to acquire Leftwich are more true than ever. We will see what King Carl and the Jags do.
Priest Holmes was put on the non-football injury list, so Priest and the Chiefs buy more time to see if he can return. Redbeard is not going to be happy that his boy WR Brad Ekwerekwu was cut, as well as WR Ean Randolph. This is great news for my brother and Chris over at Arrowhead Pride because they both have a man-crush on Bobby Sippio. I am just happy we gave up on WR Chris “I Need to Eat” Hannon, because he would be no use to us on special teams. The Chiefs also decided to get rid of Tre Stallings, Nick Reid, Rich Scanlon, and Justin Phinisee. I am glad we decided to keep Bobby Sippio, Michael Allan (how could they even explain if they released him), Boomer Grigsby, Dimitri Patterson, Tyron Brackenridge and Jason Dunn.
The one shocker might be that the Chiefs decided to keep RB Derrick Ross even though he had issues with hanging onto the football. Since they decided to only keep two QBs and they gained an extra spot because the Jared Allen suspension, Ross might have gotten saved from being released for a few weeks.
