The Hamilton Tiger-Cats haven't been winners on the field this season but they have scored a major coup off the field, agreeing to terms with quarterback Casey Printers on a three-year deal. Financial terms of the contract are not known, but reports indicate he'll be the CFL's highest paid player at $500,000 a season.

I am not sure what games everybody else was watching but I am not that impressed with Printers. He fumbles too much, has sloppy mechanics and is far too erratic in the way he plays. I watched all the games and to be truthful I really don't know much about this Jeff Terrell, but he has been by far the most effective Quarterback out of all 4 that have played. He showed more poise in the pocket than Casey Printers and showed more of an ability to connect with the receivers than Croyle. I think it is too early to give up on Croyle but I do think that Terrell would be a better keep than Printers. He just does not impress me at all. I would definitely love to see K.C. sign Leftwich though and I think that at this point it would be the best move that they could make. I think that they would be foolish not to. Croyle is not ready and Huard is not starting material in my opinion. He did OK in filling in for Green, but he understood that his role was a back-up. It is a whole new ball game and a whole lot more pressure when you are the starting Quarterback and I just am not confident that he has what it takes.

I think it is way to early to give up on Croyle. Bring in Leftwich if we have to and let Croyle mature. He is still a very raw young qb that played in a preseason game without his OT and redbeards favorite OL.

I am not upset with the Printers move at all since I said along he wasn't playing that well. Try scrambling around when there are 1st stringers in there, he wont be as succesful. Also with his fumbling problem, doesn't anybody remember QB Jeff Blake? That is what we should be comparing Printers with.

I don't understand this move unless they have another QB in mind to bring in. I can't believe they would keep Terrell

This had better be the beginnings to acquiring Byron Leftwich. I really like that guy, and would love to see him with the Chiefs.

*crosses fingers* Please let this be another sign of Peterson incompetence and thus another sign that the Age of Carl is within view of ending...Cut Brodie, keep Printers. Draft Brohm.

Unbelievable. I know Printers fumbles too much, outside of that he looks as good or better than Huard or Croyle in the preseason and you would think that the fumbling problem could be fixed. Of the three you have to consider Huard the best due to his play last season. What makes it more unbelieveable is that I'm not seeing Terrell cut first.....guy played terrible and probably didn't get much practice time but still terrible.....This move makes me convinced the Chiefs are going to sign Leftwich.....
