Here are our Chiefs standouts and disappointments from the first half of action against the Miami Dolphins:
Heroes
DE Jared Allen – He continues to shine in his contract year.
WR Chris Hannon – He still looks like the skinniest player in the NFL, but he scored the first offense TD this season!
CB Ty Law – He was the only one in the secondary looking solid every play.
TE Michael Allan – Made two great catches and held onto the ball. How many times did Carl brag about that pick?
DE Tambi Hali – Didn’t do much in the 1st quarter, but he caused a nice turnover.
Honorable Mention: DT Alfonso Boone, WR Jeff Webb, TE Tony Gonzalez, P Dustin Colquitt & Punt Coverage Unit, FS Greg Wesley (Yes, he played alright)
Zeros
QB Damon Huard – Looked awful, simple as that.
DT Ron Edwards – Got worked all night by a rookie.
DT James Reed – Read Edwards above.
MLB Napoleon Harris – I have big expectations for this guy and I hate seeing MLB run around blocks.
K Jusin Medlock – Had better kickoffs, but he needs to hit from 42.
