Boomer and Jared Love Nigro’s

The fellas over at Kissing Suzy Kolber dropped a satirical mock post from Jared Allen yesterday — “Thank God For This White Skin!” In this post, it was made clear that Jared loves being white, and the benefits of his race. It was also made explicitly clear, however, that he hates racism and is not even the least bit racist. I’m here to tell you that’s true. Just check out these shirts he and his best pal on the Chiefs, linebacker-turned-fullback Boomer Grigsby, have been sporting…

I don’t know much about Nigro’s Western Store, other than that they have locations in Kansas City and Shawnee Mission. Now, Boom and Jared are kind of good ol’ boys, so I’m sure they dig some country western stuff. I’d also have to be an idiot to think that these two class clowns don’t wear these shirts at least partially for comedic effect. Hopefully, these two jackasses don’t offend anybody, because I’m sure it’s all being done in good fun.

Nigro’s Western Store is a family owned businnes in Kansas City that has been around for well over 40 years. Jared Allen shops there because of their great service and friendliness. Like many other people, you probably have the pronunciation wrong on my last name “nigro”. Nigro is an Italian last name with a long sounding “i”; not to be confused with the word “negro” that was used to refer to African Americans. Thanks for putting the official website. Go chiefs!

Angie thanks for the info. I think if anything we were just trying to have fun with Jared Allen’s western wear. Love that guy…

No problem, Angie. I had a friend back in the day with the last name Nigro, so I am aware of the pronunciation. Again, we were just having fun, like we often do — especially with Boom and Jared.
