Who is Bobby Sippio?

Posted by: Adam Best

Bobby Sippio (arenafootballjerseys.com)Our Kansas City Chiefs signed AFL and Chicago Rush star WR Bobby Sippio (yes, that’s him jumping over a defender) yesterday. Who is Sippio? He’s a 6-foot-3, 214-pound touchdown machine. After seeing our receivers piss-poor performances last Saturday, it’s hard not to get excited about this guy. For those of you who don’t think he can cut it in the NFL, I have two words for you — Marques Colston. Two more — Kurt Warner. Stranger things have happened, and he obviously is brimming with untapped (at least by the NFL) potential.

I’m totally on board. Chiefs receivers who didn’t play at LSU better step their game up on Thursday night. I know he’s an AFL guy, but he’s bigger and just as athletic as Chris Hannon, Jeff Webb and Samie Parker. Plus, he can obviously catch the ball. In my book, that gives him a significant edge on all three of those guys. I really don’t buy that the Chiefs are just bringing him in to have an extra pair of legs. Yeah, right. Face it, Herm, you’re desperate for a third wideout.

All I’m saying is give me one good reason why Sippio can’t be that guy.

hopefully we can get something going with this guy, I was thinking Chris Hannon might be something, tall & fast but thought he was a bigger dude like D Bowe, he's awful skinny and his hands are about like Parkers.  I'd like to see more of Jeff Webb another guy that from the outside looks like he might have it, same for Brad Ekwerekwu,  and most of the project WR's on this team out of all of them surely one can emerge, give kickoffs and or punts to Parker or Webb, I'm not sure how Ean Randolph fits in, thought we got rid of Dante because we wanted a bigger guy to sprint upfield and not worry about hit dying and or fumbling once he got hit, Randolph isn't 175lbs.

The major issue with this guy seems to be an almost unfixable "Me first" attitude. At least thats the vibe I've gotten from the articles I've read about him.But 53 TDs last year? He's worth a tryout.

All I want is to see Sammie Parker never play again.  He just drops too many passes.

a third?? the only reason he isnt looking for the second…is that bowe has to big a contract to let sit on the bench…Bowe wont be that big a factor this year…yes I know any body will be a bigger factor than last year… I dont see bowe as that good to start with… glad we have him , but would have rather had a LINEMAN…… I cant believe they cant find a left tackle.

i like sippio, and as long as there is no more samie parker im happy. i think that ean randolph is the best returner we have, he will make the team based on that. hannon dropped some balls but will probably still make the team and same with webb. that probably leaves one more slot left, to go to either rod gardner or samie parker or brad ECK or sippio or titus ryan among a couple of others.

  6. 6. redbeard Says:

ECK, ECK, ECK, ECK, ECK !!!!!!!  look at what he has done so far this camp compaired to0 what people saw during his college days at MIZOU… now compare what little Bowe looks like compared to what he did in college… ECK looked great, yes he dropped one ball… he is still a big fast target… and can jump higher than everyone except for Tony G. and he may out jump him.

  7. 7. redbeard Says:

and as for blocking , the Tigers did have some guys running at Mizzou, and a QB who ran as well…who do you think was downfield blocking…ECK can block with the best of them.

  8. 8. redbeard Says:

I remember when we had Joe Horn… and let him go because we didnt have a QB with the arm strength to get him the ball… this year we will see alot of playaction… and we will run the ball down guys throats… with Eddie on the left and Bowe, ECK,and Tony G. on the left and right…Man just wait till we see that in the regular season.

  9. 9. bannyc9 Says:

I think redbeard wants ECK.  What do you guys think?

  10. 10. redbeard Says:

I want ECK!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) , I like hannon and webb but both are better suited behind E. Kennison, or in place of him…. neither is best suited for the number two or three spot. Bowe and ECK fit the two and three slot rec.poss. the best.

Bowe was a stud in college and will be a beast for us. Have you guys seen him lately? He's a monster.

And I like Sippio, I really do.

Nothing against Eck, who I also like, but he isn't as physically freakish as Sippio.

  12. 12. Rush Jeff Says:

You will be pleasantly surprised by Sippio. While he does have an "attitude", it is a positive one and he plays as a team player. I have interviewed him on a number of occassions with the Chicago Rush, he can be a great addition to your team if he is not released.

  13. 13. CWebb Says:

Sippio suited up for Thursday's game but never got out onto the field. We saw him wearing #8… cool.-cw

  14. 14. CWebb Says:

I haven't been more impressed with Eckwerekwu than anyone else this preseason. Sorry Redbeard, I love the idea of having a local kid on the roster, but honestly, he doesn't seem ready yet. Give it a year on the Practice Squad and I bet it'll look a lot more intriguing.-cw

  15. 15. Adam Says:

Sippio should play against the Saints… Printers goes deep to Sippio… TOUCHDOWN!

That might just happen. Hopefully, Bobby will work some with the first and second teams as well. Get Samie out of here.

  16. 16. redbeard Says:

And I havnt been impressed with Bowe… he was in the miny camps… and in the falls and he still looks like a bigger version of parker…

  17. 17. Marissa Says:

Ever since I seen bobby on Hard knocks (I think that's what it's called), I was impressed with his personality and the determination to succeed. On top of that he is fine as hell (and tall)…I don't really watch football, but I have a feeling I will be from now on…
