We’ve Got Turk’s Back!
Lot’s of interesting stuff going on over at our sister site The Viking Age (and I mean that in as demeaning of a way possible).
First off, there’s this Turk McBride-Bryant McKinnie drama. Some bad blood started brewing between the Chiefs and Vikings during the training camp scrimmages that took place about a week ago, and that bad blood has only worsened following a McBride comment that aired on the debut episode of Hard Knocks:
“Their tackles are terrible.“
I don’t care if Turk was talking about McKinnie or Ryan Cook o whoever, because he was thoroughly dominating those guys. I saw it with my own two eyes up in River Falls, and again during Hard Knocks. McKinnie can talk all the smack he wants, but he’s going to be in over his head on September 23 when the Vikes visit limp into Arrowhead, and he has to contend with Turk, the return of Jared Allen and 80,000 rabid fans decked out in red. As for Cook, yeah, have fun blocking Tamba Hali, buddy.
Next there’s this Ray Edwards cat who plays defense end for those purple pansies. As much as he was fighting last Saturday, I’m surprised he didn’t take a swing at Herm Edwards, Zach and I, or even X-Factor. While it would be fun to see a handful of Chiefs reenact the restaurant bathroom scene from Donnie Brasco on his ass, I think I’ll be satisfied with our tackles manhandling him and our Chiefs handing the Vikes a beatdown.
These teams definitely don’t like each other, and that’s fine. We all know how green QBs at the helm of mediocre teams fare the first time they play at Arrowhead (see Alex Smith in ‘06). The Vikes are definitely going to get what’s coming to them this September.

August 10th, 2007 at 4:39 pmactually no first time QB at Arrowhead has ever won…the first time they play at Arrowhead they loose even the greatest of all time have lost… elway marino, and farve, and aikman, yes all the QBs who have played Arrowhead the first time they have lost…obviously this doesnt count for the first two or three years of Arrowheads existance.
