I agree, I understand people vote for reasons like watching a player do a great feat...and having met a player(talking with them),we must remember this isnt a vote for the hall of fame... in which all four of these players may be in at some point...although I doubt it, but a voting for who the majority of the readers here think is the coat...to me I dont think Tony G. wont make the HOF one day...I really dont... but to say he is better than Dawson... I cant ever believe that one... not yet. And as for DT... to me he was the best ever pass rusher... but to me thats all he was... yes he could change a game... he could also loose them by himself as well... remember the denver night game...with shannon? DT never was a good tackler, or coverage guy... not because they didnt ask him to do it, but because until he got hurt and was on the sidelines watching did he start to learn how the rest of the defense worked, seriously.... if he had learned the other parts of playing *D* earlier in his carear then maybe he would be in the hall allready , but as it is he is being passed over time and time again because he was a one demensional player....and that wont get him into the HOF. and as for Lanier not making it ... mabn he was the heart and soul of a defense that was even more feared than the defenses that DT, and neil Smith played on...believe that or not it was true...teams loathed the Chiefs *D* back then!!!!

If Len doesn't come back and take this, it will only prove that the majority of the voters aren't old enough to have ever seen him play. This is taking nothing away from Tony -- he's also a great player -- but at this point in his career, he doesn't have the credentials that Len has.
