peterson has bought into the same thing alot of fans do… that o-lineman can come from the vets around the league… which is true but it is rare to find a guy like roaf available. to build a great line we should draft , and not backups… which is what comes mostly from darfting them in the bottom rounds.

McIntosh appears averge, and is an upgrade. Svitek is just another project lineman, and I'm not confident in the offense with an NFL Europe left tackle.

i think that mcintosh is simply a 'good' left tackle. he will be better than what we had last year, but he isnt even in the same discussion as willie roaf (even circa 2005).i think that mcintosh will be ready to go for the season opener personally, but at the very least svitek can hold the fort down. i really think that svitek is better than anyone we put at LT last season.

I hope these guys step it up, none and I mean none of them other than the starting guards and our so so under rated center wiegman, have any prooven record including Damien… yes he may have been on a talentless o-line in Miami, but he still didnt do that much as far as I can see.We have needed O-linemen the last four years… and none drafted in the top rounds… thats just stupid peterson(who cares who was watching the coll. kids and prepairing the draft boards)… we have needed linemen… and got nothing so far. yes we needed a wideout… but last year and this we had a shot to bring in some talent… and passed for other spots… the games are won in the trenches…by drafting sixth and seventh round linemen over and over is how we had a recieving corp, the likes of what we had for so many years hear…* I have said it before and I'll say it again , this team will go as far as this O-Line takes us…and no farther* basically I am saying I agree with you.and as for letting black leave that was the stupidest move since letting our richardson leave… Black was to be a very good right tackle…his natural possition…last year wasnt his fault… he doesnt have the initial quickness to play naturally at left tackle. black should have stayed here.
