That’s a great question right about now, because Jason Dunn apparently heals about as quickly as Grant Hill, and it is looking more and more likely that Kris Wilson will be our starting fullback.
Willis is a young tight end out of Virginia Tech that has bounced around the NFL quite a bit. That, however, does not mean that he’s untalented. In fact, with Dunn out he’s been playing with the starters whenever the offense uses two tight end sets. Why? In addition to being an adaquete pass catcher, it seems that Willis is a Jason Dunn-in-training when it comes to blocking. According to Warpaint Illustrated, he’s looked excellent so far as a blocker and absolutely embarrassed defensive end Montez Murphy earlier today.
Definitely keep an eye on Willis. If Wilson stays at fullback, and Dunn continues to heal at this rate, you might see lots of Willis on running downs this fall.
