- The K.C. Star’s Adam Teicher brought up an interesting point in his latest vlog: If neither L.J. or Priest suites up for the Chiefs this upcoming season, could rookie RB Kolby Smith be our leading rusher? It seems the coaching staff and front office believe so.
- Bernard Pollard has been a force thus far, both against the pass and the run. Up to this point, he may be the star of training camp. I think it’s just about time for me to order my No. 49 jersey.
- Turk McBride was nearly unblockable during one-on-one drills against offensive lineman. These drills are considered “litmus tests” for both defensive and offensive lineman. I think McBride will present match-up problems with his unique blend of speed and strength for years to come.
- After reading both Jabba the Whitlock‘s and Bob Gretz‘s latest columns on Priest Holmes, I regrettably have to agree with both. Nobody knows what’s really going on inside Priest’s helmet. If I had to guess, I’d say that he’s here for the money. I’m starting to doubt if he’ll ever actually even play.
- I also agree with Whitlock about getting Dwayne Bowe on the field. If King Carl didn’t want to pay a receiver first-round money, then he should have traded back into round two and picked Dwayne Jarrett. It’s not like he hasn’t done that before (Junior Siavii).
That’s about it for now. We’ll keep you updated.
